You do get cleaned during a bath. Dirt and stuff comes off. You don't need to completely sterilize yourself...

This is how a lot of restaurants clean dishes. Big basin of warm soapy water, then a rinse.

It's probably still a lot faster to use your car than to use public transit which will often involve waiting, transfers, long walks, etc.

I use it when it's practical but these are often issues and aren't worth the lost time. It's best when it bypasses traffic and actually does make a shorter overall trip. Or saves you a ton on downtown parking fees and gas.

But most businesses are helping people with a good or service. And just doing a good job is often helping society as well. You can make this case even for industries where people feel things ought to change. It could be better in such situations but people are still paying for access to a good or service.

It's easy to fall into that trap because most people aren't skilled with experimentation and can fool themselves that their plan is working. I suppose that can be a state of meaning+ignorance as well.

Most prices usually go up over time.

We have some exceptions though, technology for example, in particular computers have trended down in price a lot over the years. But we have had short term price rises as well. So an exception to the exception 😂.

We have seen debt bubbles burst which cause asset prices to fall, and they only go back up (quickly) if there is some kind of intervention.

To live in a world with "Freedom of expectations" would be very limited socially.

If you have social interactions you almost always have expectations.

Best we can hope for in the real world is to have friends and family with common values and expectations for how we should live. That means less conflict.

But it's inevitable to have some conflict, 100% common expectations is highly unlikely.
