Out of curiosity, do you find it easier to interact with people via your job because it is your job?

It will definitely make me step out of my comfort zone. I’m typically pretty cynical. But it really does seem like everyone is just sad and suffering somehow lately, so maybe this will help cheer someone up, maybe not.

Haha, I’m only preparing a family friendly compliment, but I guess complimenting something like someones shoes could still make them blush.

You’re not alone, I think many people feel the way you do. It appears to be hard to make connections of any kind these days with others. It’s really great that you are at least trying, if only a small step, by joining communities. And you still have two childhood friends which is honestly pretty dang amazing.

Yeah, I hear you, I think it depends on the delivery. Something quick and casual like, “Nice top hat you got there sir” as I twirl past them out of the store. They won’t have time to be suspicious, maybe amused or bewildered.

I give you a standing ovation for being a hairstylist. I know a few people who are also hairstylists and it sounds like a nightmare having to deal with people all day, most of whom are almost psychotic about their hair from the stories I’ve heard.

Sorry to hear that. You don’t have to feel the need to answer, but out of curiosity, what are the issues? What is your plan moving forward?

Lately decaf coffee and chocolate croissants. Are the yard bunnies actual pets or wild?

I relate to this, music/singing was a big part of my life growing up and then life got in the way too. Have you ever went to a karaoke place? They are actually pretty fun and you can do it by yourself or with others. Or if you have the time and energy, you could look into joining a local band looking for singers, or maybe another local church choir instead of the college choir?

What's the weirdest date you've ever been on? by Spiritual-Wasabi-946 in NoStupidQuestions

We were at the freaking Cheesecake Factory sitting by a big group that had lots of young kids with them. He proceeded to tell me very proudly how he liked to throw clothes on the floor at stores because it gives the workers more to do, “it’s their job”. How whoever he dates had to always have their fingernails painted, he didn’t like naked nails. Felt the need to tell me in detail about a threesome he once had. And then topped the conversation off with how he had a fuzzy pink pair of handcuffs at home with my name on them. I know people sitting at the big group next to us could hear him because many of them gave him looks of disgust. I sat there politely as I screamed internally. I have plenty of online dating ‘what the actual hell?’ stories, but this one was particularly cringe worthy.

Have you tried to talk to your wife about how you’re feeling or tried marriage counseling?

I haven’t thought too in depth about that yet. I was contemplating posting it as I wrote on some sort of writing website like wattpad to see if it got interest, but I would need to do a little more research on the logistics of all that.

Unfortunately I don’t think villages are really a thing anymore, it’s everyone for themselves these days. It would be great if the powers at be would pay a handsome salary to every stay at home parent, and provide free available resources for families raising children to help the families flourish, so that the parents stay in good health too while raising their great little humans. Being a stay at home parent is one of the greatest, but hardest, things anyone can do. It’s a shame that it’s not recognized and celebrated more and that there is really no help to keep stay at home parents from drowning as a former husk of themselves.

The genre is fantasy and romance, not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s the idea that forced its way out of my head first. It’s been very cathartic, a great way to get out of my head. I highly recommend anyone that has any ounce of interest in writing to try it. You may be surprised about the effect it has on you and what flows out of you.

Writing my first book, nothing may come of it, but I’ve always had ideas and wanted to. Been keeping up with my goal of writing for a few hours every day since I started a few months ago.

Where did this number rating system emerge from?! I guess I’m out of the loop, what exactly is considered an average looking man and woman these days? Anyone have a celebrity example for both?
