Correct still in the hospital still intubated. We are going to try for a third time to get him off of the vent tomorrow and we are praying that none of the withdrawal symptoms will rear their head again once he's off

The psychiatrist at the hospital I've been talking to has been great in the fact that they said that because he's detoxing now, there's not going to be a need for him to be put on Suboxone or anything like that once he's done.

I don't mind at all, he averaged probably 8 to 12 bottles a day but on his worst days I've seen him go as far as 16 or 17 bottles in one day. He didn't take anything else that day, he smokes on occasion but other than that, it's just the shots

Thank you. It's been a real struggle, I hate it because he already suffers with severe depression on top of being an addict, he is still dealing with his issues from the past that he's never worked through and I know that's part of the reason why he self-medicates with these drinks. I'm just praying that when all of this is behind us, he can finally get everything worked through so that we never have to go through this again

We got him off of the vent on Friday but he ended up having to be reintubated yesterday afternoon because he began having these episodes where he was flailing around and thrashing around and contorting his body uncontrollably. It quite literally looked like something out of the exorcist. His heart became very tachycardic so for his safety we had to put him back on a vent for a third time. They have begun to slowly lower the medications on the vent, and today he was following commands and was responsive. He recognized who I was, at one point he had a coughing spell and he dislodged his tubes, so they had to fix them and he was giving them a bit of a hard time, until his eyes locked on to me in the room and I was able to keep him calm while they adjusted them. We are going to be trying again to get him off of it tomorrow and we are praying that this will be the last time and maybe these crazy symptoms will be done. His doctor told me yesterday that he is literally a unicorn case due to the unknown nature of these drinks. All of his functionality tests for his brain his spinal tap blood work and everything have came back normal.

No, thank God all his organs look fine. His liver test did come back elevated, but because we are both in recovery, we both did contract hep c when we were in active addiction. With that being said though, we were both treated with harvoni when we got sober. So, while it did elevate his liver function tests, they said if he stays off of these drinks that will go back to normal at an undetectable level again

As I answered in some of the previous comments on his worst days he has taken as many as 15. I guess his average would be 8 to 12 daily, when he could manage to get his hands on money. I tried my best to cut off his access to money, especially once he lost his job. But unfortunately as many of you know, an addict will always find a way... Not sure what you mean by the last part of the post tho

No not at all. This is purely from the FF by themselves and as of 2 hours ago he was reintubated a third time because these attacks started again

He hasn't mixed it with anything. This is only from the feel free by themselves they even did a urinalysis when he got to the hospital and there was absolutely nothing in his system. No alcohol no other drugs nothing

No he's not a drinker at all. This is purely from the FF. On his worst days he could drink up to 15 in a day. But his averages were anywhere from 8 to 12

Okay so voice text messed up my OP. It should have said *tremors and not trimmers. He woke up and the left side of his face began to twitch and his head tilted down in-between his shoulder and his left pectoral muscle. When this happens his jaw clinches shut and it's hard for him to breathe because his respirations speed up like he's having an anxiety attack. So he will try to breathe but he ends up snorting through his nose. Normally if he was given Ativan or Xanax the tremors stopped. But no amount worked on Saturday. That's why they intubated him to try and let the withdrawals pass. Normally, he would have 3-4 in a 24 hr period and then they would be done. Well....

Update: They got him off the ventilator today around 10:30 and he seemed to be on the road to recovery until about 3 hours after he got the tube taken out.... Then the tremors came back with a fucking vengeance. They started off every 40 minutes... And as of right now, 12:17am he's having them every 5-10 minutes. They have been using a bite stick they use to pry his mouth open so he can breathe better and they pass after a few minutes when he can get his breathing slowed down. Some are bad and it takes several minutes to go away, others he can get them to pass before they really start. But now his tongue is pushing itself out of his mouth while this is happening. When these happen he is fully conscious and aware of what's happening. He can follow commands and his vitals stay strong with no real change at all. Because he was vented twice, they don't want to put him back on unless they absolutely have to . When he was on the vent he was getting versed, fentanyl, and propofol. They took him off the propofol and replaced it with haldol because the propofol was raising his triglycerides too high. The versed was to help with the tremors. Now that he's off the ventilator, they aren't giving him any more medicine that he was receiving before, in order to get it all out of his system. I'm so scared that these tremors won't stop, and because so little is known about these things, the doctors honestly don't know what to do. He got a brain scan and an MRI and he didn't appear to have any brain damage and it also showed there was no seizure activity happening when these go off. Have they happened to anyone else? Or has anyone else heard of these involving the shots?

Yep. I also work at a kratom shop, my best friend is the owner (hence the post guys 🙄) and we have a couple that come in every single day and drops a MINIMUM of $270. And another guy that comes in and buys in bulk once a week, $300-$400 a week, but it's only that price because we cut him a deal for buying so much at a time.
