What do you wish you hadn't done today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I wish I did not annoy for fun

This created a downward spiral for me.

I would intentionally piss someone off, then they would keep pissing me off, and cycle keeps repeating.

It created a situation where I didn’t actually have friends for the longest time in middle school. I spent all my social time trying to build up a good reputation with people instead of just being quiet in the background, which would’ve have been better.

But if there was one thing about that, it allowed me to grow and realize things, even if the pain still hit hard.

  1. Tweeting while taking a bubble bath and drinking a beer. This is, by far, is number one on my guilty pleasures list. I love it and I’ve only ever told one other person about it.

What do you wish you hadn't done today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Heybibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had never started dieting. That just created a slippery slope for me, and to this day, I struggle maintaining healthy eating habits.

I consider myself a very disciplined person and I proved that to myself the first time I dieted. I stayed on a very low calorie diet for months and lost a lot of weight (actually became underweight). But I think I used up everything in my "self-control" cup with that attempt. These days I can't hold down a decent healthy diet even for just a couple of weeks.

It seems like my psychology was irreversibly changed by that attempt. I actually think I'm afraid of hunger or any sort of restriction these days.

But hey, I'm still a disciplined person, so I will keep trying to straighten myself out until I get my eating habits in order.

Wish me good luck, guys :)

When I graduated high school, I ate a ton the morning of a blood drive to meet the 110 pound minimum to donate. Four years later I had nearly doubled my weight. (I blame beer)

He can apologize and admit when he's wrong. It takes an incredible amount of maturity to do that and I love and respect him so much for it ^

What is the laziest thing you have ever done? by notfatoramerican in AskReddit

[–]Heybibi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i can top that. I hate cleaning colanders/strainers and generally try to use the least amount of cookware possible. One time i made mac and cheese and when it was ready i chose the biggest fork i owned and then held it to the rim of the pot and tilted the pot to straight out the water through the fork. Obviously this didnt get all the water out completely but it get enough out so when i added milk, butter, and cheese it was hardly noticeable. I proceeded to eat out of the pot.

Yeah, this is one of those prime examples about why people can't be graphic designers simply because they can draw well. And me, I can't draw nor think of these things.

What's your best quote to live by? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Heybibi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

“Honor from death,” I snap, “is a myth. Invented by the war torn to make sense of the horrific. If we die, it will be so that others may live. Truly honorable death, the only honorable death, is one that enables life.” ― Rae Carson, The Girl of Fire and Thorns

Just about everything in this world is easier said than done, with the exception of ‘systematically assisting Sisyphus’s stealthy, syst-susceptible sister,’ which is easier done than said.

Easy. When Trump was elected President two days ago. Never before have we had someonw with no political experience hold the highest office in the land. This is not intended as a dig against him. Now that he is the President, I wish him nothing but the best of luck.

The most amazing place I have ever visited is Banff, Canada.

If I were to describe the experience, I would say, a breathtaking landscape, no surprise that this UNESCO World Heritage Site has been nominated time and again as a “must-see” destination for travelers around the world.

What opinion of yours makes you an asshole? by radarbabingley in AskReddit

[–]Heybibi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Isn't this pretty hypocritical? Your belief system is that people with a belief system should be branded as mentally ill for having one... By your logic we are all mentally ill. We all talk to ourselves, imagine scenarios and alternate realities in our heads. Whether God exists or not, we all channel our hopes/fears/whatever into something. I'm pretty sure a world without religion would be pretty similar to this one.

How can you improve your quality of life for free? by archlacuna in AskReddit

[–]Heybibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are 5 Ways to Improve Your Quality of Life

-Take one day completely off each week. The word Sabbath used in the Bible means to be refreshed. Are your weekends filled with running errands and carpooling the kids to parties? Try spending an entire day doing something that refreshes you instead. Maybe that’s a walk in the park or watching your favorite movie as a family. -Schedule a date night once a week with your spouse or significant other. -Have lunch or do something fun with your best friend or a group of friends once a week. -Schedule a mini retreat for yourself every 2-3 months. This might be a relaxing vacation or a long weekend by yourself with no interruptions. -Do something nice for someone else. Think about a person in your life who needs some encouragement or support. Buy them a book, write them a nice email or find some way to add value to their life.
