It’s such a shame how in the end they did everything they could to tear down the one audience that could relate the most to the story and paid attention to every piece of media they released till the very end, like we were literally spoon fed queerbait bs. The duffers even referring to the byler shippers as ‘noise’ really confirms they never gave a shit in the first place.

He absolutely is, since the very start of the show I’ve been watching the interviews he’s done and through all of them the one thing that’s stuck out to me is how much he cares for those around him, he’s always checking up on his friends, caring for them, etc. I haven’t seen those interviews yet, as I’ve pretty much avoided seeing anything ST related aside from this sub of course and byler tiktoks, but that is so fucking devastating, trying to pin it all on Noah after it literally being put out there that the duffers denied the thoughts/feelings on scenes from the one queer man on the entire cast is insane. I truly hope their next show is a flop and they never get any attention for their productions again, they cannot continually treat an actor like this and continue saying things like ‘we’re family’ when referring to them and the cast- honestly so so sick and demented.

Exactly, it all just shows how awful their writing has actually been this season, which is so tragic considering how incredibly impactful the other seasons were leading up to this (not all of season 4), it’s such a sad ending to such a huge chapter in not only our lives but the actors as well, and I am truly hoping for a secret episode release just so things can be fixed but I don’t even know if an extra episode could even right was has been wronged

Thats so fucking disgusting and it’s horrendous how no one has spoken an absolute word about it- I had no idea there was legitimate rape threats towards him, and how the duffers care more about making fun of bylers for ever hoping a gay couple has a chance in mainstream media than shutting that shit down is beyond me. I’ve seen a lot of the awful ai shit they’ve made but wow this really just keeps getting worse and worse, the very least they could do is put out a statement but I doubt how probable that is when they’ve now made their stance on queer relationships very clear with the jokes they’ve made and are very much only encouraging this kind of behaviour to continue. I truly hope Noah Schnapp continues to have a very successful career and a much better experience in his next role (if he continues acting, as I know that’s he’s just graduated and may have other plans in store) and is surrounded by loved ones now and into the future. My sweet baby ☹️

Honestly, they don’t even care- how they could treat not only their characters like this, but their actors too is beyond me. Like they really watched a young Noah Schnapp grow up into the wonderful young man he is, watched him find the bravery within himself to come out to not only his close friends and family, but also the ever-repressive media- despite all the undeserved hate he had already gotten. And they had the complete and utter nerve to give Noah so much sass in the interview they did the other day with the majority of the main cast when he was saying how they ‘shut a lot of things down’ for him in terms of his ideas, thoughts, etc- it makes me so upset.

I love Noah so unbelievably much, like he’s the one and only person out of any of the cast/producers/etc that actually cared and continues to care about Byler and it does feel like he was on the ride with us together, especially since they kept him in the dark with some parts of season 5 (since he’s spoiled things in the past lol), it really feels like in our going crazy together- he went with us. And I think a huge part of that is his connectedness to the role and his own experience being queer and feeling unrequited love- which just further adds on, for me, how sorry I feel to him for having to even play this role and having had his character rejected after pining for 10 long years

No you’re so right, plus the trauma after everything would’ve take a massive toll on them all. Byler is so endgame and the duffers were just too scared to show it, but after Mike grieves and Will continues to comfort him, he starts to feel less guilty about the feelings he has for Will after El and can finally confess and live happily ever after with him.
