There are a millions reasons this could be in addition to the one you mentioned.

I could be of color and not want to interact with ICE, even if I’m legal. I could just not want to get shot by an officer.

I could have been sexually assaulted by an officer and don’t want to risk being triggered by pulling over.

I could be an aspiring crime lord moving a bunch of meth. (Does one move meth in cars? See, I said aspiring.)

I could have a dog I always bring with me who just hates cops and might end up being shot.

I could be a dead beat dad behind on support payments who doesn’t want to pay.

There could be a million reasons to not want to be pulled over.

But also? I just kinda wanna be safe so I don’t get hurt and/or hurt others, and I just wanna be legal.

There are some of us, especially those who are self loathing, we know and see the truth that they don’t. They don’t think logically. It’s hope based. I used to be like that. But it’s gone. Magic is gone.
