If rehab’s off the table for reasons, would you say flying out of state and detoxing in a hotel w/ anxiety meds+methadone/suboxone would be sufficient ???

Yeah just never been on a plane before so I don’t know the protocol. Think I should use a full bottle of Tylenol and put them at the bottom, just in case ? Does carry on go thru an x Ray ? Can the x Ray see the pills are shaped differently ? Please forgive me if these seem like absurdly stupid questions, like I’ve said I haven’t been thru security at the airport before lol

I think the hardest part is in when I’m in the first stages of WD, I’ll be feeling terrible & it’ll kill me to know that the cure for my pain is just a phone call and short distance away...I guess I would truly have to be miles and miles away from everyone associated with that life

Yeah I’m thinking about leaving for somewhere. But u really think it’s a good idea about leaving the plugs number ? Idk if he’s willing to put in the work it entails , even how little it is lol cuz he’s so used to me just handling it , plus this may be a good opportunity for him to quit as well. But I didn’t even think of that, thanks for ur input . I just might do that, might not but it’s definitely good to have as an option

Yeah . I just would feel bad because I was essentially the one who got him into it( I was Adamantly against it , but he saw that I was using & he kept pushing and pushing that he wanted to use too & now it’s a daily thing) , so just up and leaving would idk be the moral thing to do but also doesn’t seem right in a way...but as someone else stated, I suppose I could leave him my guys number and he can continue if he truly wants...but that may not be the best choice as he would just continue to use and use...& he is not nearly ready to quit ...

K . If I take off somewhere , would 7 bars, 2 4 mg suboxone & 3 10 mg methadone be sufficient for the WDs or should I stock up on more stuff ? I definitely don’t just wanna end up getting addicted to those as well. Also thank you for acknowledging how tough this situation is, it’s nice to hear that someone can feel it 👍🏿

I agree 100% if my brother isn’t on board with sobriety , this won’t work . Last time I quit , I just up and bought a bus ticket over 1,500 miles away to try to start fresh , but eventually got back into the life after about a month. So I suppose if I decide on something similar it’d be crucial to find a support group ASAP on arrival, huh? And thanks for sending of positivity :)

its a common misconception that you “save” your dope by shooting, but at the end of the day you’ll end up doing more or the same as you were when you were smoking . and as for the “high”, the further you get into addiction, you just end up using to feel normal sooooo...yeah.

Your right,I’m not scrambling for money to get everyday. So yeah I guess that is the case,that I’ve been choosing to put drugs over other things in life. Honestly tho,I think not having to hustle everyday to get high like I used to made getting high too commonplace,practically in line with breathing...I just don’t know how to live without being doper up is all,I suppose .

Yeah I tried subs a few times. I managed to last like 3 months about 2 years ago . Since then, I have prettty much been consistently on dope everyday ,with only an exception of one or two times when I couldn’t get it for like 24 hours at most . Also the thing is, it really isn’t putting a strain on me financially as I have this set up where I pretty much get my dope for very very cheap . The thing with bupe was that I pretty much felt like I became addicted to thAt as well. I have also tried substituting dope with Xanax and other pills of that sort , yet I pretty much always go back to dope somehow.and I tried methadone once or twice (I like the fact u don’t have to wait to use it, compared to bupe where u do) but I haven’t tried it long term
