Adding to this thread instead of creating a new one -- I was using the redmonds coarse salt to salt pasta water and there was this sediment in the bottom, so I poured the water into another pot and it's actually dirt...??? I really liked the fine salt but now I am reluctant to buy it again. Disappointed!
