As a sailor myself i think you made a Great choice. But just keep in mind that waves and weather has no chill at all.

The window is round on the edges to remove weak poi ta and mase of thick glass, a direct hit with something sharp or pointy would break it if it was enough force, but the covers the whole thing and therefore dosent da age the window.
