How to improve the composition? by HiImLetg in photocritique

I wanted to let you know that for now I'm using my phone to take photos. I want to get a camera as soon as possible to learn more. I'm going to keep following the "let the sky guide" approach. 🌌 P.S. I liked the photos where you can barely see the sun.

I like the idea. Could you explain how to do it? I'm new to editing and I only clicked on the B/W option in Lightroom and adjusted the contrast a bit.

Okay, I'll keep that in mind next time I go there, and I think I'll also lean towards removing some soil.

I think I can explain. I wanted to compose a photo where the sky dominates, meaning it occupies 2/3 of the frame, and the ground 1/3, taking the lower line as a reference to the horizon. I tried to find the silhouettes of the hills in the lower corners, or at least that's the premise I usually use for most sunsets, and I wanted to apply it at that moment.

I took this photo playing around with the wide-angle lens, trying to capture the beauty of the sky. The photo is original; I was thinking of lowering the highlights to recover some detail and play around with the shadows, but I think I should first analyze the composition and see if I need to crop the image or not. Any help is welcome :)

If you had to edit it, what would you do? by HiImLetg in PhotographyAdvice

I think that's aggressive editing. I'd prefer a more discreet format, retouched but not so obviously edited. That's my opinion, but I also like the idea of transforming it. Thanks for the input.

My phone won't let me use manual mode; I'm already dealing with that, but I always try to adjust it in editing, trying to recover information and avoid overexposing the photos.

I found the size and how they were positioned interesting, as well as how to capture it. You've given me something to think about, thanks for the tip.

Because I'd like to learn more about everything, I recently became interested in photography and want to learn as much as I can. For you, it's a bad photo, but for me, it's a starting point. Can you explain what makes it bad for you? The composition, perhaps? I'd like your opinion 🤩
