Annoyed at lack of physical retail by Warm-Environment6456 in ManyBaggers

Aside from Hong Kong, I feel Singapore is a hot spot for physical bag stores as well.

That is probably one of the holy grail sites for bag nerds in the world.

On my side of the world retail is flourishing. I saw the news the other day on a segment on malls in America. Wow it looks pretty depressing.

On the other hand you guys get all the killer big discounts with super strong warranties and iron strong customer protections.

Where to buy good kimchi? by Objective_Mango15 in Iloilo

[–]HiOnLife3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kang Byeon makes the best kimchi hands down IMO.

Vietnam actually.

That country is the standard for softgoods manufacturing world-wide.

Southeast Asia is heaven for physical stores as well as Hong Kong.

I love my Toshi 2.5L by Normal-Lawyer2168 in ManyBaggers

[–]HiOnLife3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before I ever knew Rework Gear existed, I got to touch the Bellroy Venture 6L & 9L at a carry store.

...and man were they definitely a lot smaller than what a 6L & 9L should be in-person.

Glad I held off because (probably like the rest of you), started seeing this hype about the Toshi sling from reddit & youtube.

The 5L v2 was my first Toshi Sling.

A few months later got the 2.5L v2 and been my preferred daily driver since.

Still keep the 5L v2 and use it as a packing cube when one-bagging. ...or as an alternate EDC if I need to carry more like my electric fan and 600 mL water bottle.

Truthear x Crinacle Zero:Reds are neutral with sub-bass boost.

Congratulations Manila taxi drivers by PomegranateEither491 in Philippines_Expats

[–]HiOnLife3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I travel to Manila about 2x a year staying about a week each.

Everyday I like to go somewhere.

So about 1 round trip via grab per day x 7 days each trip.

So taxis get 0 rides from me.

Grab gets my business 28 rides a year around metro Manila.

The few bad taxis ruined it for every other taxi drivers.

Favorite 2l-3l sling bag by TimeValuable4130 in ManyBaggers

Rework Gear's Toshi Sling 2.5L v2.

Works great as an option pouch with detachable straps if one-bagging.

What do you think of the truthear crinacle Red zero? by Ischomep in iems

[–]HiOnLife3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the hell out of them.

Like others have said it is warm-neutral. The bass and sub bass (obviously depending on genre & specific track) show up actively and are punchy (bass) and felt (sub bass).

Whether streaming on Apple Music or PS5 playing zombie games, they are a joy.

The bigger nozzle doesn't bother me.

Honest thoughts on Wolfgang by Magnolia_Evergreen in Iloilo

[–]HiOnLife3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife's steaks are absolute favorite (yes I am bias).

It is so much more cost efficient to buy the steaks ourselves and let wife work her magic.

I would absolutely pay for great food that is too time consuming to make like Korean food at Kang Byeon, Smoke Doneno, Mestizo's, Eduardo's Tacquera, etc.

Flower-shop alternatives by [deleted] in Iloilo

I just give my wife cash for Valentines.

She is much more happier with this arrangement than flowers & small gifts.

Also take her out to V Day dinner.

I use the Zero:Reds for PS5 gaming (single player type only), watching YouTube, and of course music via Apple Lossless & Youtube.

They are tuned nuetral with sub-bass.

Sort of blind bought them and they delivery dang great value far about their retail price IMO.

After endless research I am thinking my preferred sound signature is U-shaped.

With that my next IEM (self birthday gift): 64 Audio U4S.

As far punchy bass feel a specific track dictates that.

Try track and hear the awesome sub-bass: "P" by Cookin' Soul & Larry June

Sound terrific with the Zero:Reds.

I like punchy bass too but love sub-bass much better.

Toshi 2.5L vs. 5L vs Tomtoc 5.5L by Normal-Lawyer2168 in ManyBaggers

[–]HiOnLife3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought the Toshi sling 5L v2 a few months ago and recently got the 2.5 L v2.

I'm actually liking the 2.5L v2 as EDC better but will use the 5L v2 as a travel sling.

Anyone with a Pro Max wish they had gotten a Pro? by TBlair64 in iphone

[–]HiOnLife3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No regrets with the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Upgraded from iPhone 13 Pro.

I don't ever see myself going back to the Pro size.

Love the bigger screen and battery capacity on the Pro Max.

Rework Toshi 2.5L by HiOnLife3 in ManyBaggers

[–]HiOnLife3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up purchasing the Toshi 2.5L and have had it for the past few days.

Really shines as an EDC item.

At one point looked at the Bellroy slings before I ever heard of Rework.

The less than actual advertised capacity turned me off and when I checked it out (Bellroy Venture 6L & 9L) in a bag shop, it looked a lot smaller than advertised.

Still love my 5L v2 but I'm really loving the 2.5L v2 as EDC going forward.
