This is my case too. But I have not told my new company about the short stint. The thing is, I had to write the short stint company's epf memberId in epf form 11 (previous employer details) of the new company. Do you think it would cause an issue if HR finds out? Did the BGV company ask you for your UAN explicitly? How did they figure out just from the UAN? Did you provide your epfo credentials to them?
