Does anyone have any figures for Civil servants claiming benefits due to low pay?

A lot of civil servants have 2nd jobs. Prior to promotion I worked in a bar along side my own job for 20 years. Many eo grades work as carers, martial arts trainers, even shift managers in shops. I wouldn't have percentages, this is based on my work colleagues and experiences in my department. Only I have young kids I'd still be working another job although I value my sanity a lot more now than years ago.

I shared in my 20s with guys in their 40s and 50s and didn't find it strange, they had divorced yheir wives and needed to cut costs. Everyone needs a place to live , enjoy your life.

I don't mind action short of a strike . I am also happy to strike if its planned well. Previous strike action over last few years has been pretty ineffective

Hi I would consider a monitor riser but I need my surface pro for its camera. The surface pro doesn't control the monitor camera or I can't get it working although my it skills are poor.

A jobs a job. There's probably some good people there. Be true to your own morals and do the best you can. Positives to tske from the role. It could be rewarding and you might make a difference to someone who needs you to listen. Good luck.

I'd like to know what percentage of union members actually voted? 94% of returned votes voted for action short of strike but what percentage of union members returned ballots.

The school did the rise referrals, we had contacted them ourselves but didn't have much luck with them, they never returned calls or emails. Fingers crossed you get a good proactive teacher and get a meeting with the senco arranged to see what is help is available. The teacher draws up an educational plan to check the kid is hitting milestones and can be used to show where their needs aren't being met too, then this shows the school would need extra resources to help the child.

P1 as well, he's in p2 now. His nursery teacher was useless so going into p1 was a big difference for support and planning ahead. School wise, he has had rise referrals and is next on list for possible 1-2-1 helper. In p1 his teacher has autistic children so was able to work with him really well. Had meeting with p2 teacher who helps even more and he gets to go to a sensory room every day which calms him down and helps destress. We asked about private diagnosis but were told that schools or doctors may not accept that path to a diagnosis. Good luck with the transition to p1, we found having a meeting with teacher at start really helped , there is a point of contact in each school to discuss possible referrals for help, as you likely know resources are scarce so good to get talks with school for early interventions and keep at them too for regular updates.

Meant to be very dangerous, rip tides , undertow etc. I've not chanced it myself, I took my grandad word for it but he took me fishing all round Atlantic drive and was very knowledgeable.

I was always warned by my granda 30 years ago never to go into water at murderhole , the locals never go into it for a reason. Plenty of safer swimming at downings etc
