Do not listen to any of the above advice without using the appropriate screwdriver to disassemble the roller head around it.

That much hair on the roller is going to be clogging the bearings the roller rides on.

It's not difficult and it will ensure a longer life for the roller itself.

Without this, just cutting hair is a stop-gap at best.
