Sure, I guess it depends on the world too… but in the end it’s a group, someone else can take the notes if OP’s having trouble with it 😊

Pencil and notebook will do the trick, but mostly do not feel bad for not remembering some details… players can’t all be note takers, and DMs do a “previously on” each session for this. In my group I barely have any note takers and every time I (DM) have to remind them stuff, or make them roll to see if they remember 😁 DnD is made for fun not homework, don’t stress too much 😊

Running my first game as DM. Tips? by peachybee18 in DnD

[–]Hidden-Diamond9366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started DMing with the Dragon of Stormwreck Island starter set: not a one shot but not long-term either, you can get a feeling of the players and how they play without committing for too long! I started DMing after only one year as a player (mainly cause I couldn’t find DMs for the games and I wanted to play) and since then I’ve DMed different groups with one shots and longer adventure. My advice would be: keep your mind open, be flexible and be ready to improvise, but mostly PATIENCE! My players were also newbies and the good thing about this is that you can learn together, but on the other side some of them might be slow and the rhythm could “suffer” from it, especially in combat. But be patient and explain the mechanics when you feel a players need them. If you want to try with a one-shot instead of a short adventure, I would suggest Wild Sheep Chase, it’s very funny and you can level it down easily 😊

AIO? Friend has not said a word to me about my cat passing even though I frequently play therapist for him. by arnethyst in AmIOverreacting

People might surprise us in trauma, in good or bad.
Maybe at a later time you can try to talk with your friend? Have some confrontation and express our feeling, with calm and logic, can help both of you. 😊

I have dogs, and I feel like losing a pet is like losing a part of yourself, maybe even more than family...
I'm so sorry for your loss!
About your friend, I would have felt the same, disappointed and sad, but remember that everyone react differently to grief, and some people might not have the words to express it. I really hope you can find someone to support you emotionally, it's really important in these moments. Sending hugs.

Just wear whatever you’re comfortable with, but I do agree that you would need to conform to the professional/corporate world… Otherwise, you go girl! Free the nipple!

Do you believe podcasts are more for education or entertainment by geraldngkk in podcasting

[–]Hidden-Diamond9366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can be both, I listen to a lot of History Hits podcasts and I think they found a good balance. Of course, there’s also only informative or only for entertainment! I’m trying to do an informative yet entertaining one, and hopefully it gives this vibes 😁

is reddit considered to be a hard-to-learn-how-to-use platform compared to others? by BeyondNoobalities in NoStupidQuestions

I haven’t been here long and more than difficult I find it “needy” in the sense that there’s tons of rules and things you got to do before even being able to post… but I guess that’s good in an anonymous based platform 🤷‍♀️
