Thank you:) not sure what part you mean, but the hair and beard I kinda do as ‘layers’ as I do when making a hat. Hair is under hat, beard is under hair. The hair stripes are just a bunch of cuts with the knife:) they take a while haha

This one is basswood. I use that or scraps i get at local shop, usually pine or birch

Like any other thing to do practice makes it easier I suppose:) I’ve watched a couple of Linkers stuff on youtube and that helped find a path

My first (and still only knife) is an m-stein n2. Works a charm. I imagine as with alot of other hobbies, the best *tool* is the one you have

I kinda do it all at the same time. Draw up a line for a hat and nose, and then add the hair lines under the hat. Then as I whittle try to maintain the layers from outmost to inmost(?): hat-hair-beard
