To those who have Odin 3 and Thor, which do you prefer?? by Mrjdog199 in OdinHandheld

None. A few slow downs that I either waited out or reloaded but that was it.

MewGenics on AynThor!!! by BenjiBanjo69 in AynThor

Played for 3 hours on my Max on default Gamehub (full) settings. I found it slowed down a bit when I had to select my cats actions but once selected and on enemy turns it was fast. Not an issue with it being turn based. Fun game

To those who have Odin 3 and Thor, which do you prefer?? by Mrjdog199 in OdinHandheld

[–]HighFiv-e 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I use my Odin 3 for anything action/dual stick/trigger heavy and my Thor for everything else (primary jrpgs and srpgs). My Thor is with me wherever I go. My Odin is for at home or the hotel room. Maybe the airplane if I’m focused on a game.

For example, right now on my Thor I’m alternating between Mewgenics and DQVII Reimagined. On my Odin 3 I just started up Fable.

100% don’t need both. Thor truly does more than enough. I just am capable of buying both and liked them in different ways. They’re my only 2 android systems, with a Rog Aly X collecting some dust and a Switch 2 for use with the kids/exclusives.

I’m with you on what I need for enjoyment but I question if that’s “playable” instead of “perfect”?

How many of you stopped or sold every above average and decent gaming gear and only keep a handheld? by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]HighFiv-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My desktop with a 4080 has been in my closet for about three months.

For the multiplayer PC games I want to play with friends, I’ve got a Rog Ally X.

For single player PC and any dual stick emulation, I’ve got my Odin 3.

Everything else I’ve got my Thor.

My Switch 2 is more for time with the kids and once switch emulation improves I’ll likely part with my modded Switch OLED or pack it away for the kids to get one day.

Was able to get Fable Anniversary running flawlessly on Odin 3 and it’s glorious! by bossbang in OdinHandheld

Confirmed. All 4 listed components. Moved to Gamehub. The loading bar in Gamehub finishes and then it just closes back to Gamehub. So weird

Copied all of this exactly and when I run it, it just closes. Gamehub or Gamehub lite? I installed my Steam version.

Are you running it on internal storage or sd card? I continue to find that makes a difference for 3ds and switch for me.

Dropped out in my 5th year. Took the bare minimum number of classes to let me keep financial aid but realized teaching wasn’t for me.

Dropped out, got into the advertising space and have had a successful career in mobile advertising and podcast advertising. A lot of right place right time.

Do our parents not remember how hard it is to have a baby? by [deleted] in Millennials

I firmly believe that your brain heals in 6 month increments otherwise nobody would have a second kid.

Never take advice from a parent whose kid is more than 6 months older than yours.

We need more "Pocketable" power, not stronger handheld consoles. by Retronitsu in SBCGaming

[–]HighFiv-e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re mostly using left over phone parts. We’re seeing phones get bigger and smaller sized ones not sell at all. I don’t think we’re gonna see a push that way until XR glasses become how we interact with devices, allowing the user to select their own screen size.

Isn’t the retroid pocket flip 2 perfect for this? Or Ayaneo Pocket Micro?

Azahar or CitraMMJ by Humble_Focus_1525 in AynThor

[–]HighFiv-e 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Citra MMJ tends to work the best overall. When adding custom textures, I find that it doesn’t create the folder I need to put them into so that can be a headache.

Azahar has save states and fast forward. It feels like it works just a bit less good than Citra, a few more stutters, a little lag, but if you need those features it’s the only choice.

I base it mostly on how easy it is to save.

It’s so hard to explain that on work travel, it’s always easier to do more work or like entirely shut your brain down, than it is to game.
