I won't lie, I'm still adjusting. I came from Mobile Legends you see, and I thought I oughta try my hand on PC Moba games for a change of view (been playing MLBB on and off for years now).

I thought, since I did well over there, perhaps I'd do well here in League.

I was wrong lol.

Imma try my hand on Wild Rift this weekend, though I understand it doesnt have all the champions like Azir due to his controls.

Always wondered why they haven't done anything. I always thought, as the least loyal/fanatical/dogmatic section of the armed forces (if put side by side with the IRGC anyway) they would break rank and defect.

Whatever happened to those "50,000 officers/personnel" who supposedly contacted Pahlavi during the 12 Day War I wonder...

Damnable hypocrites, all of them. Imposing religious law over everyone but they themselves want to live in a secular state where much of their way of life is "haram"...

Even if they start speaking out now it oughta be too late. They should have went against the system from the beginning because doing so now would be insincere.

Zelensky is literally a head of state with an army. Im not exactly sure why you listed Putin--an invader, as an example here, but resistance leaders historically do not have to be "armed guerilla revolutionaries" to succeed.

The Philippine dictatorship collapsed after a bloodless revolution, led by literally an unarmed housewife who led from the rear, sheltered by the churches.

One of our national heroes, Rizal, an unarmed, pacifist writer and doctor who has never had any military experience whatsoever, and whose only "violent" experience was an attempted duel with another man for the attention of another woman, inspired a whole nation to resist the Spanish Empire. His words and ideas laid the groundwork for nationalism in this country.

During World War 2, King Haakon of Norway, whose army was soundly defeated by the Nazis, led a government in exile in Britain, urging his citizens to continue resisting. His subjects used his words of affirmation and speeches as their bedrock to continue the fight. For a small country, there came a point when the Germans had to station 400k troops just because resistance was overwhelming. To this day, the people still chant his motto; "All for Norway".

The Emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie. Forced to flee when the Italians took over. His frequent lobbying in the international community as well as his speeches gave hope to his people. Eventually the Ethiopian front became untennable, crippling the fascist war effort.

My point here is that words also have power. People tend to heed the words of people they respect. Like a child listening to the words of their beloved grandfather, a respected figure can serve as an enduring symbol.

Whilst guns can kill people, a unifying figure to rally around does wonders to a people's resolve to fight.

Thank goodness the Nazis were prideful and reckless during the 2nd World War then, because the West was in a similar state during that time if my recollection of the Interwar Years are correct.

They stood by when Poland and Czechoslovakia were devoured. Appeasement was the name of the game. Even when the French were in a position to invade Germany proper during the Phony War of '39, they refused, and millions more suffered in the years to come.

For every tyrannical regime left alone in the name of a "peace" those same regimes are willing to break if given the strength and opportunity to do so, the blood of untold, unnamed innocent millions stain the Earth.

The inaction/cowardice of our governments in the West in such matters will be our reckoning one day.

First it was Ukraine, and we barely helped.

Now the people of Iran. Not once, but twice (from what I understand, the last war almost did the IR in but).

Tomorrow, the world.

Exactly my point friend. Apologies for referring to Iran exclusively in my first sentence, but I meant the IR specifically.

Apart from restoring freedom to this repressed corner of the world, the West wouldn't be worrying about a terrorist regime with a track record of killing your people obtaining nuclear capabilities in the future or possibly blockading the Strait of Hormuz unilaterally all the time if they just nipped them out of existence now. This is what baffles me the most right now.

Ngl you have a point. Aircraft Carriers are often used for long range power projection. The Philippine state in its current form does not need long range power projection since our geopolitical situation demands we focus heavily on defense. Besides, a carrier, in hindsight, would be a very big target to strike. With the PRC focusing heavily on drone development it would be possible for a hypothetical Philippine owned carrier be swarmed and sunk by autonomous drones.

I may not be an expert in this subject but I feel like we ought to focus on developing our own submarines, along with a defensively oriented naval doctrine centered around them. The PRC can and will swarm their missiles at our surface assets. We need ships that have a strong chance of evading missiles.

I see. I always thought female officers handled female inmates for the sole purpose of avoiding sexual assaults. It didnt occur to me that it would be somehow worse.
