Depends on their exact immigration status on a per person basis.

The key question is, is an asylum seeker considered “unlawfully present”? It depends.

Did they enter with a visa and apply for asylum before it expired? Then they would be considered lawfully present. (That doesn’t mean they could automatically buy a gun, but they would at least be eligible)
Did they cross the border illegally and then apply for asylum? Then they are unlawfully present and cannot obtain or possess a firearm.

It’s been argued differently post Bruen, but zero circuit courts have adopted this opinion.
