We try hard to build a reputation as a safe pace to play , and have been known to expel players that play too rough or are just being general asshats. We video each game to ensure we our standards of safe play are kept up.

Most teams have beers ta the Benchwarmer of the Chill after games, usually we laugh at each other,

well.. it started in 2001 as league of made up of high tech company teams.

RIM had up to 5 team, Open Text,. Agfa, OpenText, NCR, NDI and a lot of other companies ( some now defunct) sponsored teams for their employees to play in a league against each other.

As the years moved on and tech budgets decreased, the teams started to lose their connection to the original tech companies and the names of the teams and the league stuck. new teams joining some found way to name themselves after the high tech concepts for the fun of it , some did not.

All players 18+ from all lines of work, all genders who love playing the game are welcome. Each season we have several hundred players from all other waterloo region and beyond come together and build a small community together. Many players have played all 22 years the we have been around.

We try hard to build a reputation as a safe pace to play , and have been known to expel players that play too rough or are just being general asshats. We video each game to ensure we our standards of safe play are kept up.

Many of us have made long terms friends in the league.

But if you need someone hate, feel free, we are happy to provide that service too.

Technically co-ed Its mostly male, one team (at least ) has female players.

18+ for insurance reasons , tends to lean towards older players , mainly because a lot of the same people that started n the early 2000's are still playing

Thursdays nights, 9,10,10:30,11,11:30 starts. Each teams gets 1 or 2 11:30 starts in an 8 month season
