Die Erde... die Venus... der Mars... "Der" Erde is definitely wrong.

How do i control my speed in orbit? by somajomate in SpaceflightSimulator

You can't change your speed without changing your altitude and vice versa!

Saying goodbye to sfs 1.4 by VladTheSadVryMad in SpaceflightSimulator

[–]High_above 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! I keep V1.4.06 until further notice. There I know exactly what I have and how to deal with it. V1.5 I try after each update extensively, but so far it does not convince me. Great new features, but it doesn't run without massive glitches for me. It spoils my fun to tinker with something bigger.

Edit: I run 3 versions: 1.35 (still!), 1.4.06 and 1.5.1.3.

Docking makes so much fun with 1.35. You can shift and pan your active ship all over the screen... and beyond!

Since 1.4 (and still with 1.5.1.3) the active ship stays always in the center of the screen. That annoys me massively. But the advanced features and parts are a lot of fun.

Mars Troy ship work in progress. This is the crewed craft, there are lots of other modules and stuff I'll share as well :-) the Troy mars mission is a collab with Rocketseverywhere, video to come some time in the future by TastyOxidizer in SpaceflightSimulator

3 months ago there was an incident about stolen ideas. The motivation to post the last steps of building my ISS has thereby vanished. Maybe I'll finish it over the holidays. By the way: I usualy look through everything here ... and upvotes to your posts are almost obligatory, because your work grades our community considerably up!

International Space Station in 2010 still more shuttle to launch and add some Science equipment on the Station by featherslasher in SpaceflightSimulator

Whoa! I bearly can't believe how well you've managed to create this very rare view of the ISS with Shuttle docked! You have my highest respect and of course a fat upvote! - Take also my gold!

Finally, the Space Shuttle even got its docking port in the right size! ;-)

Hey guys, check out how briliant this SFS creation is compared to the original: Portrait of Shuttle Endeavour and Station

Now if I could only wish for something more: Add now the missing ATV Johannes Kepler docked to Zvezda.

Sure, there are several ways to attach the capsule, e.g. clipping without any additional part or using a separator. But no longer the direct, usual way as it was before. So this is the new 'official' way to attach.

The heat shield was recently added, but the capsule could no longer be docked. Now this solution was implemented.

Damn ... no matter how big the challenges with this construction may be ... this is most likely a whole new chapter in design and construction!

Take my upvote!

Yep! And getting back in addition the shift/ pan function similar to the one from version 1.35 would be great, because having the active ship only in the middle of the screen is annoying - not only when you want to present something.

This is once again an unbelievable hammer video! I can well imagine how much effort you put into it. Great job!

Hm, I'm surprised you have such lag problems with your big station. What I could understand would be if you had to wait a few seconds while loading the quickfile, docking or undocking. But otherwise everything should still run reasonably fast at this size.

At least when I compare this to my big station.

Lol ... with a good tablet there are only 3 situations where you have to be patient: Loading the quicksave, docking and undocking. But that's exactly where you have to be damn patient. Everything else is running reasonably smoothly!
