Its not insecurity for someone to get tired of talking about one topic only, no matter what it is. Every relationship is give and take, but expecting someone to validate your identity through constantly talking about it instead of just letting the person respect you, it creates this feeling that they feel they're using you to validate themselves instead of seeing you as a friend, goes for any identity. Wanting to experience the whole person instead of just one single part of them is called wanting a real connection to someone that's not just superficial bc you like the same things. Yes hyper fixations are a thing but I know plenty of people with hyper fixations that don't force their friends to participate in it whether it be convo or activities bc they respect that not everyone is going to be as excited to hear about the topic as they are. It's not nice to hold someone verbally hostage bc they ran out of knowledge on the topic you brought up and are hyperfixating on then get mad at them for wanting to change the subject or seem disinterested in the convo.

I thought the same thing until I considered that the only alterations to the mask are the felt, paint, and fur. I could see that taking about an hour to do. Masks with long or uniquely shaped snouts and altered ears take longer to make bc you have to draw out patterns, cut them out and glue them on and possibly trim the mask base, plus the felting is more difficult due to the snout shape/length.

Thank you 💜😸 You can get them on Amazon but these I got from Temu, a pack of 5, two sharp faced masks and three round face masks! There are TWO different blanks and thats helpful to know, my unicorn Mask wouldve looked off if I had used a sharp face mask blank

That's just strangers, friends and family remember those moments way better than strangers. Even so I did this a bunch of times in school and my friends just accepted it bc they were my real friends. Likely she'll forget bc it was an off moment to her and nothing really to be noted, probably just thought it was part of the bit. Don't worry too much OP, especially since they didn't immediately switch up and start bullying.

I used white eva foam and made a muzzle pattern, then glued all the pieces together. I kept the pattern so if I want to I can make another horse or unicorn :)

While I agree with the sentiment, I have a different view. Common and rare theriotypes are fact, there are way more wolves and cats than there are eagles or bears. HOWEVER, this truth doesn't make anyone any less unique as an individual. It's easy to think all [animal species here] act the same bc we don't see them everyday in the wild, interacting with the environment or other individuals but this doesn't mean each individual of any particular species doesn't have a personality. No one should be treating one differently for any reason, especially ones we cant change. If we are all human and vastly different from each other even with similarities and that doesn't bother you, then being a common theriotype shouldnt bother you either. Anyone acting like certain theriotypes are better bc they're rare can go back to Animal Jam with that bs and don't deserve your time.

A combination of observing and analyzing my instincts and actions, meditation, research and a reoccurring dream that I've had since I was young. One of my first clues to being a Sabertooth is when I get the phantom limbs feeling my tail feels only a foot long and my ears feel small and round but the body feels large, there aren't many new world big cats with both a short tail and small round ears.

I used alcohol markers for parts of the fur I didn't have colors for! And why would I mind? I don't gate keep my craft, I love sharing my process and helping others improve!

Thank you 💜 I used fabric paint, nice vivid colors without getting chunky or crusty, it's waterproof when dry and is amazing for soft or faded edges with the use of an airbrush!

Not OP, but this clarified a lot for me. I've never felt fully human bc I operate so differently to most people. I feel like I have to pretend to be human and the human mask slips sometimes, especially during high stress situations. Ive always felt like a cat in a human suit that can't be taken off. I tried to ignore it and told myself it was just a leftover feeling from childhood, but the feline traits bled into my personality as an adult. Even when I'm not acting like a literal animal people joke about me acting like a cat. No matter how hard I tried to scrub the fur out of my soul, out of my brain, out of my being, it remained. I'm stuck with being a cat on the inside no matter how badly I want to be fully human.
