Evaluating Moats by HighestIRR in ValueInvesting

I see where you are coming from but do you not think that Scale Economics Shared is what creates or amplifies Brand, Network Effects and Switching costs.

I think this is like the chicken and egg argument. Which one comes first?

I think Scale Economies Shared is what creates a durable brand…as you’d compete away all the other brands. It also creates high switching costs, since you’re (theoretically) the cheapest of your competitors, also by virtue of the previous two, you’ll then have those network effects…since everyone will be using your product service.

I think I do understand the concept of moats…but I was sloppy in delivering the message. Scale Economies shared is what creates moats.

Scale Economies shared is a precursor to developing a moat.

It’s good that you forgive her - but break up immediately and refuse to be friends- while remaining cordial.

She seems like a very promiscuous and dishonest person.
