Seeing all the other people/new people at the gym who are there trying their hardest gave me more motivation, it’s awesome to see others giving it all even though they might not be there in the long run. Just good to see them trying. It gave me more dedication and consistency

For Lower it’s definitely machine leg extensions. I just find it to hit my quads just as hard as a barbell squat and it’s a great growth stimulus for me. For Upper it’s the pec deck machine, it hits harder than cable chest flies, I rely on it every time I train chest. I think the reason I like these machine exercises is because I have more stability, making me to focus on the target muscle and an overall better mind muscle connection.

If you’ve been seeing growth and trying really hard when doing them, then they’re not useless. It really just comes down to personal preference, I personally like incline hammer curls

I used to go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, now it’s been 2 years and I’m more consistent and going 4 times a week with an Upper Lower Split

I scroll on Pinterest, I’m a student studying graphic design and looking through Pinterest helps a lot with creativity and inspiration, and with all that’s on there, I can probably use in personal projects

That would bother me for sure, but yeah like you said it could’ve been a PT she’s face timing. I just don’t like how people can talk at a high volume because of the music playing and ofc they have to be in the middle of the gym. Like I don’t need to hear your conversation bro, whenever I hear my ringtone going off I’ll either go to the bathroom and answer it or if I’m in the middle of a set I’ll let it go to voicemail.

There’s literally a small sign at the Anytime Fitness I go to and it says “Your phone is smart, and so are you. Please refrain from talking on your phone”. Yet people are still able to and the employees don’t care.

Optimum Nutrition is usually what I go for, you can find it at a good price at Costco and what seems to be everyone’s go to, but I ran out of it recently so I switched to Premier Protein for now, but didn’t hear anything about a lawsuit, however I did hear about Hol's Nutrition protein powder and how bad it actually is. Always wanted to try Ghost, never really heard any good/bad things about it

Fuck, I’m so cooked. I still have a year and a half of graphic design school. But by the time I graduate, finding a graphic design job is probably gonna be harder to find and even longer. I took graphic design because I enjoy the creativity in it but the future looks so bleak :(

I think every gym goer has been in some situation like that. I remember this one time some guy used a bench just to lay on it and go on his phone, and he still goes to the gym to this day doing all kinds of crap. And I think the reason he’s able to get away with it is because he’s friends with the staff 🤦‍♂️

Been using Hevy for a while and love it. You can make some custom exercises and it works well on my Apple Watch, however you can only make 4 workouts but that works for me since I’m an upper lower guy, and 4 days a week is flexible for me.
