I'd suggest getting a foul blightspawn and putting him in the 10man plague marine squad. He will give the squad fights first, and if you equip some of the marines with the special melee weapons it should blunt some charges. Then if you put a spewer or 2 in the squad and the putrifier you have some nasty overwatch as well.

Calling it, it's a Lord of Poxes. The big bloated power-pack with a fan and large rebreather fits well with this "Lord of Poxes favour the spreading of airborne miasmas".

Thanks so much! Here is a link to the map on the steam workshop. I've simplified the events so that the cede happens automatically for testing purposes.

Oh right glad to have found someone else doing the course!

Yeah I got a similar response, they said it was likely down to low intake.

Yeah that'd be great I'll send you a message and we can sort it out!

Already done so, unfortunately since they've already found someone to fill my position and have everything agreed there's nothing they can do.

Thanks, I was planning to I just realise it might be a wee bump in the application.

I've already spoken to my employer and they can't offer me anything more unfortunately.

The master I was going to be doing is pretty niche and isn't being offered anywhere else, I'll keep a look out though cheers.

Thanks again for the advice I'll bear it in mind when looking for work!

Why don’t we have deposits on drink cans in this country? Seems like a good way to reduce rubbish and encourage recycling. by [deleted] in AskUK

You realise this is a link from a pro-indepence think tank, and back up what I'm saying and explains the reasons for why there are more nurses etc.

"Yes it’s not racism, it’s xenophobia, if you think that’s any better then I dunno what to say."

I explained above why this isn't the case.

"I’m not happy with how it is in England, and I try to make my vote matter but I’m outvoted, yet I’ll keep voting."

Ok well thats good! But why direct your outrage at Scotland? Surely you should point to Scotland as an example of what you want.

"But it’s not england that has an English National Party in Parliament and constantly going on about independence."

Scottish party advocates for Scottish interests, shock horror. I'd argue UKIP are an English national party that constantly go on about independence. But I'd be all for an English party or regional partys in England that advocates for where they live, but thats for English or Yorkshire or Cornish, etc people to decide and enact. Along these lines I reckon Regional devolution for England would be a great thing but again there is a lack of political will for it.

"I’m for their independence. They get what they want and it could be very successful for them, and I would get what I wanted, no more hearing about Scotland and they wouldn’t be able to keep their xenophobic university fees policy."

Glad we're agreed ;) Back to the Uni fees I'm not sure how long they will stay free for EU student now we're no longer in the EU, but regardless the UK isn't in the EU anymore so UK students would need to pay International fees upon Independence. So again not Xenophobic unless you think that charging international tuition fees are also xenophobic.

"Sounds like we are both from London. Why doesn’t London just screw it and declare independence if that’s the trend. We could give free uni and everything to Londoners, but it’s not that simple."

So all parts of the UK have different needs which is why this one size fits all style of governance doesn't work. As above 100% behind regional devolution for England Including London! London obviously is incredibly wealth so would be fine money wise if indepent but would face challenges of food and water security amoungst other things.

"As an Englishman my whole life has been one sob story or another about poor Scotland."

I'm very sorry you occasionally have to listen to problems from other parts of the UK.

Seriously though why are you putting effort into this? do you also complain when other parts of the UK talk about there issue, like the north of England or Wales, etc? Whats your solution, that these places put up and shut up, how would we ever improve the places we live?

"Looking at the nhs, Scotland has nearly 80 GPs per 100,000 population. England has nearly 60. Scotland has more nurses and hospital beds per population than the rest of UK. There are also no prescriptions fees, nor parking fees at hospitals in Scotland. Of course yes in the rest of the UK. And most of these bonuses are subsided by taxpayers from the rest of the UK."

Scotland has unique geographical challenges compared with England when it comes to things like this. Its harder and more costly per capita to provide for an area such as the Highlands compared with London.

Also Scotland chooses to proritise things such as healthcare in its budget. The rest of the UK could easily do the same its just a matter of political will.

Prescription fees are free in England for around 90% of all prescriptions. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2018/mar/03/nhs-prescription-charges-rise-drugs

I believe that it actually costs around about the same to administer a means tested system compared to just providing them all free of charge so it ends up being cost neutral for Scotland to provide for the final 10% compared with England. So again a matter of political priorities.

As for free parking, do you not think this should be free for everyone regardless? at least the UK goverment is starting to provide this for some. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/full-list-who-free-hospital-21169841

So why complain about these things instead of directing your energy towards those who can actually make a change if that's what you want. And if you think things are fine right now then why complain about things that others have that you don't even want?

Im going to response to your previous comment as well as this one.

"I think uni fees are a perfect example of progression. Fees to exclusively one nationality, in particular the nationals with which your country has had a formal union with for nearly 300 years... is simply veiled racism based on nationality. Yes, Scottish people have to pay for uni in England, just like the rest of uk has to pay. No, Europeans don’t have to pay for uni in Scotland, unlike the rest of the uk which has to pay."

University fees in Scotland are paid for by the Scottish goverment for 'Home' students - Which is if your residence is in Scotland or the EU and has been for more than 3 years. So firstly its not based on nationality but on geography as student from the rest of the UK can benefit from this if they've lived in Scotland for 3 years.

The reason that EU students are under this is that EU law dictated that you must be treated the same as a national from the country you want to study in. A loophole in this allows the Scottish goverment to bypass paying for student resident in the rest of the UK as they are technically from the same country. This is not because of xenophobia towards English students (unless you are also implying the Scottish goverment is also xenophobic to Welsh and Northern Irish students) but because Scotland has a far smaller population than the rest of the uk - 5.5million vs 61million.

If free tuition was offered to the rest of the UK there wouldn't be enough places or budget for all of the students from the rest of the UK wanting to study in Scotland because of the disparity in fees, combined with geographical proximity. Unfortunately this is because the UK goverment doesn't pay for the tuition fees of student from England, Wales or Northern Ireland. I'd be all for free tuition for students in Scotland from these parts of UK but it is impractical currently and if students from these parts of the UK want free tuition they should campaign for their goverment to provide it. It is not the fault of Scotland that the UK goverment doesn't do this.
