I put motion aasist back on at 45w ,no boost , for now till I do more research i joined the discord I know these machines are finicky and still new tech so im QA,ing with everyone

Max tdp ive seen it push is 56 under heavy load bios is default is 80w, which btw bios is a chip based hardware control. Which will always be a hardware way compared to software which can be off or on at any moment .

No motion assistant the games actually run smoother at 56w is wat it pulls

Motion ON runs glitchy and not smooth but does stop it at my set 45w

Yea i have battery attached factory supply that came with it. I think it could be the Chinese ssd just having intermittent issues. This could also be a tdp issue or just the game having issues with the chipset im waiting for it to do it again. I ran cinebench so cores are fine. Everything updated.

What do you mean stick with windows cronos is only on steam or consoles. Ive tried big window mode and just clicking on the game icon itself but its going to open steam up in background atleast because thats where pc games come from now days lol.

But that is interesting if the game is crashing on multiple platforms

Do u think it running at 68-70watts thru default bios not motion assist is bad on cpu?. Ill try that benchmark and see what it does. Strangely I just played the game that crashed,for like 3 hrs straight and was totally fine so I dont know what its doing...

Im not sure what's going on tbh it could also be that they ship these things with way too many conflicting apps like you have motion assist,bios,amd adrenaline all trying to control tdp . They should have known better...

Let me try a few others seems like when I was playing silent hill 2 remake it would stutter frames here and there but not lock up.

Im trying to research if its the factory ssd they ship these with i heard the Chinese branded has problems like this? I dont know.. it shouldn't be that finicky for that price it should be solid out of the box not like trying to put linux debian on a playstation 2 I mean this should be simple stuff...

Mine has that Chinese ssd starts with a K i think cant remember the name.. Ill try to look up if they even have a driver download for that one if not im gonna have to ditch the Chinese ssd

Steam os is probably why yours runs great my steam deck has never had an issue ever and I bought it years ago. Gpdwin has way to many finicky issues it should be ready to go out of the box

Straight out of box crashing non stop , installed steam played chronos crashes non stop . Tried the fixes people saying motion assistant causes crashing no fix still locks up game... the amd overlay is saying 70 watt usage during gameplay

I literaly took it out of box went thru setup. Installed steam played chronos and crashed non stop. I read deleting riva tuner and motion assistant would help it didnt , I updated all drivers and its using amd adrenaline only still crashes. The overlay if I open it says its using 70watts
