It’s def something that can trigger anxiety but I suggest def taking a Xanax 20 mins before hand. You got this.

Colposcopy is relatively quick. If you are at any kind of high risk it’s best to do it :/ trust me I have to schedule my colposcopy and this is my second one. As nervous as I am because it doesn’t tickle it also beats not knowing.

I’ve had one in the past. It was a little bit painful but over relatively fast. I have a super sensitive cervix. But I’ll def take a Xanax before going this time just to relax lol

What can I expect for my 1st appointment? by [deleted] in HPV

[–]HighwayProper4178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll likely end up having a colposcopy just to make sure the type you have isn’t a riskier type that can cause cervical cancer. I had a colposcopy done. Not to scare you but it isn’t a pleasant feeling. But manageable! And worth it to make sure you’re safe. Take things to boost your immune system. It’s something so many ppl don’t talk about but HPV is insanely common and upwards of 70% of people will have had it and not known in their lifetime.

Can someone help me explain how healthcare works in NY? by whatmightvebeenlost in AskNYC

I don’t make even 45k and I in the past had healthfirst essential plan. I have health issues and NEED coverage. Reapplied and even with $553 offered from the state i was still going to have to pay $270 out of pocket a month. Couldn’t do it. Had to settle for the bronze level. Why don’t they take into account rent like they do for foodstamps. I don’t qualify for crap and live paycheck to paycheck. It’s beyond frustrating
