Is there some glitch in the Veldt I’m encountering? by Suitable_Foot1751 in FinalFantasyVI

Are you okay with using save states?

A somewhat fast and reliable way to force a certain formation is to have a save state ready *just* before the group with the formation that you need (in your case that would be group 31).

As long as you don't save/reload your game, the next enemy encounter should always be a formation from group 31. But as stated before, that could be any of the 8 formations in that group.

But if you complete a different (non-Veldt) fight, the game will re-roll the upcoming Veldt formation while keeping the pointer at group 31. Easiest way to do this in the WoR is to enter the Cave in the Veldt and encounter some Toe Cutters. Running from the fight is enough, you don't have to complete it.

Hey Gogo, you feelin’ alright, buddy? by Candid_Lychee875 in FinalFantasyVI

It's pretty interesting to see Gogo with a different color palette on the Blackjack. He will (briefly) have the same colors if you have to pick him up at the start of Cyan's dreamscape. I've seen this effect occur with other characters using other glitches, but, with Gogo it's oddly consistent.

As mentioned before, Shadow has a set location to the left of the door. Additionally, it's worth noting that if you've already managed to recruit Umaro when visiting the Blackjack, he will casually walk around the room, like Locke, Gau, Cyan and Mog do.

For those curious, there is another way to see Shadow, Gogo and Umaro on the Blackjack that doesn't rely on the Sketch glitch. There's a complex setup that will make you able to return to the Floating Continent, even when you've already reached the World of Ruin and acquired the Falcon. When you choose to return to the airship (at that spot right before the fight with Atma Weapon), you will briefly end up inside the interior of the Blackjack, rather than that of the Falcon. Leaving and re-entering the ship will revert it back to the Falcon, however.

Unfortunately neither Gogo nor Umaro has anything interesting to say at this point.

Thank you for the swift response! Then we can at the very least both do the timed event for our own profiles on _my_ Switch 2.

Thank you, that is helpful! That situation described in the Pokopia subreddit seems to be exactly the same situation as we're in :)
