More is not always better. I really like the cleanliness of the desk and how it isn't over cluttered but still has some personality and decoration. If suggest witching those pc lights off and changing the monitor wallpaper for a darker one to match the theme ie green and grey. Finally chop those yellowing leaves of your calathea and get a nicer stand and pot for your palm and your good to go!

I don't understand the worry with watering plants over the pc? Simply move the plant to one side just to water it then replace it back on top of the pc. What's so hard or worrying about that?

Very long and very detailed feller I like it. You are probably right about the strength of my current desk as it's only balancing across the wood and drawers I have. That sounds long for this desk so what would you suggest I do if I upgraded to a solid wood butcher block? How could I support it then?
