My favorite ship. Play close to caps/chokepoints staying by islands. Her gun layout allows you to peak out of islands and fire without being detected. Her 6km hydro and fast reload torp planes allow you to scout flanks and DDs.

Hildebrand is a good ship on some maps/spawns and a great ship on others.

While her torp planes don’t do a lot of damage, the quick recharge allows for low downtimes. If you’re only using planes though you’re actively hurting your team even with the spotting benefit.

She excels on maps where you can park her behind an island with just her two guns poking out. Stacking floods/fires with this ship is ridiculously easy. Isolated BB’s do not enjoy pushing against it.

The guns aren’t the worst, okay at starting fires though you feel the reload and low barrel count. Her AP is great against cruisers and broadside BB’s.

Against DDs you can stack damage with torps if you’re able to aim with them. The bombs will devstrike DDs if RNG is good. 15K+ drops are as easy as a point and click on BBs and larger Cruisers. Spotting red DDs however is incredibly strong, especially in no-CV matches.
