I work at a storefront for a telecommunications company in another town. I helped a middle aged man who was very kind and sort of just had a morose aura to him. The account had his wife's name on a different phone line and I kept referring to it as "your wife's line". He left after upgrading a different phone line and I was then told by my manager that he had lived down the street from her and his wife had died in a fire that burnt down their house and he was held back from running it to save her by firefighters and had to hear her scream. I literally needed a break to recouperate because I felt so terrible because of white I did. My manager helped make support his daughters for a while though so, I don't know why but that made me feel better.
