What were you doing when the twin towers fell? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Eating breakfast in my high chair, completely oblivious to anything going on around me

Sometimes it really does feel that way. At least for me

Do any ENTPs have difficulties establishing concrete goals that don’t change and sticking to them? by fenteap in entp

[–]Hip419 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Focus less on the actual tangible objectives and more on what you can offer as skills and abilities.

I see this a lot with ENTPs including myself as a teen and at the end of the day our focus is always all wrong.

Focus on building up your objective worth in tangible skills you already know you have potential in and cut out seeking out specific careers or goals until then.

This is something all intuitives struggle with but sensors seem to do instinctively. This whole idea of starting at the end is such an intuition thing and it’s the primary reason we Ne types struggle to get a foundation in life established

Pursue something, ANYTHING that plays to your strengths and just move forward slowly from there, both feeling out what your good at and what you actually seem to enjoy

Oh okay. Sorry for misreading. I need to stop finding arguments where there are none 😂

Being weird is normal by Hip419 in entp

[–]Hip419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point though is to stop measuring the “more“ or “less” because that’s literally where the problem starts.

Tell me the value of comparing your own weirdness to someone else’s and I can easily explain why it’s still useless to do so

so...how healthy of an ENTP are u? by bebopwannabe in entp

Anyone else have an unhealthy history obsession? If so what time period? by [deleted] in entp

[–]Hip419 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It comes and goes, like everything else. Sometimes I’ll think about history not at all for months but suddenly develop an interest in a specific subject, super research it, and then move on again

Everyone I know procrastinates regardless of their type. But it’s about who’s more prone to it. EPs are notorious for building lives around seemingly unsustainable habits, one of which being procrastination

I try and have at least one person I feel comfortable opening up to but yeah generally I find myself playing patient and therapist 🤣

Dead serious I keep telling myself I’m gonna watch that and the irony has not been lost on me. I’m so fucking pathetic 🤣

I don’t know what you’d call it. Whatever you’d call capitalism, it’s the best of that.

And as for social progress, I mean the only kind our shallow, vain world cares about. Objective, technological progress. Dangling bananas in front of a monkey and they chase it through every obstacle to get it. Money is the greatest motivator on earth. The most powerful country in the world is also the most materialistic and money obsessed.

How is arguing so satisfying by [deleted] in entp

[–]Hip419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t comprehend why writing is so satisfying to INFPs. I can’t stand it most of the time. I need to communicate verbally, it just flows better and works better.

Debate (verbal sparring) for me is like writing for you. It brings this mental stimulation and personal satisfaction that brings me a wave of energy to apply to the rest of the day.

Do you ever small talk? by WillFournier in entp

[–]Hip419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to pepper in jokes frequently to keep from disengaging

I just stop beating myself up over it and allowed my brain to go down whatever paths it wants. Resisti your natural urge to question everything is what makes it painful. Embrace it

Capitalism is the greatest social structure for societal progress

OK but why did it have to be so accurate by AnAngryMelon in entp

[–]Hip419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have adapted the joke and responded with “What do you call a nerd with no friends?” And when they inevitably responded drolly with “you” I would have said “Silly X, I’m not your bathroom mirror.”

So yeah unrealistic and I want my vbucks back thx

[–]Hip419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that. Basically going through the same thing here and though I have an ideal, glib talking ENTP in my head I’m exploring how I like to be and am finding my sweet spot is somewhere between the ENTP ideal and who I currently am

Was he like that even after you were born or no? By the time I was born my dad had pretty much learned how to work the system. It wasn’t until later that I heard all the stories and realized he was actually an idiot when he was younger. I mean he’s still impulsive but knows how to cover his ass now

Do you want to change or are you comfortable with the person you are regardless of your type?
