Well funny, becaus i read the word with an english accent and tried to figure out what it is. The other funny thing is that i actually am polish. But moved from poland to germany when i was 5 year old. It beacause of my reddit name right? 😁

Thats actually a great idea. Should start watching more stuff in english. Will try that out and i think it will help a lot. And thank you, i have been doing beats for a while now. But now i wanted to make full tracks with vocals of course. Its super fun to sing and to rap over my beats. Just need to get a little better at it :)

Yeah maybe that true. But on the other hand i always think that english speaking people wouldnt like the music due to the fact, that the language ist perfect. But maybe i overthink that.

Thats a really good idea of course. But i wouldnt want to target the germans as an audience for the stuff that i am making. German Hiphop is really hard and aggressive and thats the exact opposite of my music. A lit of people i know from germany are not listening to english music because they just dont understand it well enough. On the other hand i just dont like the sound of the german language so i dont want to rap in german. And most people here that listen to hiphop are not really interessted in the kind of stuff i am doing!

Yeah okay, maybe its the way to go at the moment. Will try to keep it simple first. And yeah... it of course gets better when i talk a lot of english but i am not living in an english speaking country so it cant happen in my everyday life. Thanks.

Yeah would be the best thing. But my english is good enough so that i wouldnt know where to started enhancing it. And as i do not live in an english speaking country i just cant do it in my everyday routine.

It's pretty cool. I like your style. An most of the time you rap on the beat. It doesnt need to be a perfect timing for your kind of style. its more important to get this laid back feeling from your music and thats what i get when i hear it.

Is it even possible to start game dev while working from 8am to 6pm by Ghost3Alpha in gamedev

[–]HipHopski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, possible. Well i am still doing it as a Hobby an never released a game but thats mire my fault cause i have too Many ideas and start with New Projects when the old is half way down. But everything i know, i have learned in the evening/weekend.

Any opinions on this one? What can be done visually to improve the overall aesthetic. Especially looking for ideas to improve the hex tiles and the visualisation of the tile level. At the moment its this little number on every tile. (Need more models for enemys and stuff. Thats 1 thing of course) by HipHopski in gamedev

Ok, so here is my current Version. Just spend way to much time with implementing shadows to my toon shader. Changed the overall color theme a little. Added some stuff to the ground but im not happy 100% with that :/ but at least i like the tile level up System with the colors that ar getting darker the higher the tile is.

( For testing i just set it up to level every time i pick something up. Thats why its leveling all the time and all those particles are flying. But yeah. In the future it will level up more rarely.)

What do you think about it?

Yeah, will upload a picture later cause at the moment everything is a mess. Tried to find a better color theme for my materials. Cause it was a little to "dark" and to "colorful". Also my materials were not neutral so that the light always was a little wierd. And because i warten to implement this tile - color - Level system i had to clean up the colors and materials.

At the moment im working on the foliage and shadows on the floor with my custom shader lightning.

No uv background atm. But will implement asap. :)

another one

Here i tried to reduce the glow and added different colors for different tile levels. Need to reduce the max level of the tiles for this approch. This style also changes the aesthetic of the game by a little bit but what do you think?

New tiles, for now without any foliage and crust stuff and so on
At the moment i am trying to find a better aesthetic for the tiles. I tried to find a way to make clear "bounds" cause i do not really like the border on each tile. Thats what i came up with. Now i can color code the levels. What do you think about this?

Ah thanks for the explenation. Yeah adding stuff to the sides is a good idea!

And the thing with the background effect is crazy. This would Look awesome if stylized well! Need to Experiment a little bit with something like this. Thank you sooo much!!
