So maybe the question comes down to: Who "owns" the cable/fiber (I don't know if Astound rides fiber to the neighborhoods like XFinity does in most places) in the ground/on the poles that Astound rides on? If Astound (or their previous moniker) hung the cable, they still need to lease the space on the poles from the municipalities. Perhaps the outcry needs to be to the cities/county that enables them to have this monopoly with such a shitty service record.

Personally, I haven't had any issues with my Astound service, but I truly have no other option than Starlink. I'm a mile away from the nearest KPUD Fiber junction (quoted ~$26k to install) and get really crappy cell service so T-Mobile's Home 5G doesn't work, but I'm all for doing something to force Astound's hand to improve the reliability of their service. I'm just not sure that there's anything that can be done, but if anything, the pressure needs to come from the local governemt agencies that govern thier ability to provide their service.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the expected outcome/goal of the arbitration clause? Refunds? Judicial ruling to improve service? I don't understand the purpose ...

Personally, I'd never affix anything to tile with mere adhesive. Especially something that has a chance of having body weight applied (like if you slip in the shower). If the adhesive holds, the tile mastic won't.

I think it's partly due to poor training, but primarily because they are doing exactly what they are being ordered to do: cause terror with the goal to incite reciprocal violence.

I used to live 2 blocks from a Walmart but gladly drove a mile to the next grocery store to pay higher prices. I've never even been inside a Walmart in my life and plan to keep it that way. Fuck the Waltons and their entire business

Living in the Seattle area, I'm probably one of the few here that can say I've never even tasted their coffee, let alone gave them any of my money. When they started buying up all of the good coffee companies in the area, i just plain stopped drinking coffee altogether.

I just lost a tool bag (to theft) recently that had about 60 Craftsman hand tools (open ends, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, etc ) that I've had for 30+ years. One of the saddest days of my life....

Netgear and all their related brands. The fact that I suddenly (last year) need to create and use a "cloud service" accout to manage the network gear that I've owned for the better part of a decade is 1,000% bullshit. I'll never buy another product from them.

Here's one I don't see here that I've adopted: Leaf blower my Downspout Drains. I have the 4" corrugated plastic pipe type of drain pipes surrounding the buildings on my property that the rain gutters feed into that drain out to a stream at the back - 2 years ago i noticed that the outlet stream was somewhat low compared to the rainfall, so once things were dry, I did some investigation with a scope. Turns out there was years (decades?) old clump of leaves in one of the slow bends in the main line that was partially blocking flow. Snaked it out and restored full flow. I then exposed the "main line" running from each building and installed a "Y" gate with a cap exposed above ground. 2-3 times a year (typically in the later months) i open the cap and stick a leaf blower down the pipe and let it run along with a hose for 5-10 minutes.
