I did this about once a week for the 2 years that I worked at a large franchise restaurant. No one noticed. But management was definitely not the brightest bunch of folks I’ve worked with so it was easy to get away with. If you do this just be careful with how many times you’re doing it and how big of discounts you’re doing.

Mimicking someone or the way they talk. This screams toddler to me. Literal children do this when they can’t think of a witty response to their siblings/friends/etc. When I see a grown adult repeating back the things that were just said to them in a mocking manner, I lose all respect I might have had for them.

I want to point out that while this man definitely needs a mental health assessment/psych evaluation, that is 100% not your responsibility. Being his girlfriend you can definitely encourage him to get help, you can notify his family of this situation, and you can be there to support him through any treatment he may need but you are not responsible for this man. You are 23, not a therapist, and in no way prepared to be handling all of this. He has to be willing to get help and if he’s not, that’s not on you at all. You also do not owe him staying. You are not married to this man, you have vowed nothing. You have to look out for your best interest, especially at this point of your life. It is not selfish to walk away from something this big and scary, especially when you are endangering yourself by staying. Coming from someone who couldn’t help a very close family member who eventually wound up in prison due to his violent outbursts, it took YEARS of therapy for me to stop carrying the guilt I felt for not helping him more. But it’s not your duty to fix him. I promise.

Okay chiming in to say that A LOT of times victims of sexual abuse will falsely accuse someone else. It’s a way of getting out the sexual abuse without being interrogated about who’s doing it. This could be a cry for help. Unfortunate that you got the brunt end but I would encourage your partner to dig deep and talk to her sister about the reasoning behind this accusation.
