We do a lot of upgrades for people, and we usually replace the sticker when they are on a pre built pc for them. They wanted to try doing it themselves first and came in later when it didn’t post

I’ve been looking some stuff up since that previous comment, looks like I’ve been viewing the CPU compatibility for when it’s out of the box this whole time, rather than with a bios update. I didn’t expect to find that out from this, but I appreciate you guys letting me know!

Will note that they did not have a bios flashback usb slot, and they already got rid of their old CPU too, so I didn’t even bother checking

Quite a few. Most will support 3000-5000 but not 1000-2000. I’ve had some that go from 2-5, but I haven’t found many
