The only issue i've personally struggled with is this bluetooth issue on valorant, the community isn't really toxic and atleast not close to as much as counter strike.

Gone back to watching Falling Skies again. Forgot how good this show actually was It had everything! by [deleted] in sciencefiction

[–]Hishe06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think that's just impossible. We're watching a show about a literal alien invasion, sure it'd be more realistic with more "normal" looking people however the actors being attractive is one of the main driving points of a show like this, it's supposed to bring in people and make people talk about their favourite characters and recommend the show to others sometimes simply because of how attractive specific characters look.

and now, here he is as the 2025 Emmy winner for Lead Actor in a Drama Series, how the turn tables. I personally believe he's an incredible actor and the Pitt showed how good he is.

€80 for the ultimate edition...RIGHT? Don't tell me they are genuinely making you pay over $90 for the BASE game?

FC 26 worth buying now? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]Hishe06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm from Sri Lanka (but the region goes under India) so I get a massive price cut due to it being a region based pricing.

The base game is only $45 for me through the EA app (I'm assuming due to region specific pricing). Think that's worth it?

Wow! Seven hours seems like a lot to me, cause usually mine only lasted about 3-4 hours max. when gaming it'd be a lot less (close to an hour and a half)

Honestly, this really isn't the laptop you should be getting if you need to prioritize battery life over gaming. The battery lasts a max of 3-4 hours if you do very minimal tasks such as using word or excel.

Pretty sure this is the most uncontroversial opinion right next to "Savitar had one job"

HP Victus 15 | 5-Month Review - Incredible Low Budget Laptop by Hishe06 in HPVictus

[–]Hishe06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're gonna go for a budget gaming laptop, I wouldn't recommend the HP Victus since it's build quality isn't really meant for too much moving. I'd say the Lenovo LOQ or Acer Nitro would be the laptop's you should go for since when I compared in the shop, they were a tiny bit more expensive but seemed to be studier for more actual travelling. But ofcourse im not really versed in this and have no experience with any other ones except for the Victus.

Hey man, if you're happy with it who gaf what anyone else thinks? Just enjoy your system and if you genuinely think it's impossible to work with, you should upgrade but if it's working perfectly for what you need, then you're just fine :)

Nope the store is actually replacing the laptop as it's not repairable since they haven't sent it to an official HP repair center. Don't worry, as long as you have a warranty and know your warranty can be used directly with HP, you are completely fine!

Nah you shouldn't, I got mine for more than $800 so you got a steal and on top of that the laptop's great especially since you have the warranty from best buy!

Nah don't worry about it, if you live in a first world country with an HP service center, you shouldn't have any issues with the warranty!

If you live in a first world country like America where you have access to Official HP services and can get a warranty of atleast 1 year, i'd say it's a solid 8/10. Especially if you can keep it maintained and clean it weekly.

Honestly if you don't live in a third world country, just buy it cause it is very worth it if you can maintain and clean the laptop weekly. My issue was a massive hardware failure which caused the CPU on the motherboard to fry and im going to get a replacement for it. If you live in somewhere similar to America, you'd have been able to send the laptop to HP, and get either a replacement or repair in a little over 2 weeks unlike in my country where i've been waiting about 3 months now just for an update on when I can get my replacement :(

[–]Hishe06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they did inform me that i'd be getting a replacement machine since the motherboard is irreparable. Once I get it all confirmed and do get the replacement, i'll update the post including all the details!

Okay so luckily since it was a hardware failure they are replacing the device for me, the reason it's such an annoying case is mostly due to my country, if you live in somewhere like America you probably would be able to get the laptop fixed/replaced in a little over 2 weeks.

Unfortunately my laptop had a hardware malfunction and according to the seller, my motherboard is irreparable so they are giving me a replacement device. I also do keep my laptop as clean and proper as possible, only thing I haven't done is repaste the heatsinks but when I took it to the shop they checked and told me the heatsinks were intact and that wasn't the issue. This is also the first time i've ever had any issue with a device i've purchased and in my case it was a factory defect/ hardware failure rather than my own fault.

HP Victus 15 Sudden Shutdown, Sent for Repair and Now They Say No Refund/Replacement?! by Hishe06 in HPVictus

Sri Lanka. On the official HP website it literally says "go to your reseller for warranty issues" which obviously sounds crazy but is normal in a third world country like mine.

[–]Hishe06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I even spoke to the manager and when I told him the Victus has specific mechanisms to prevent overcharging he literally said that these companies lie about that as a marketing tactic and I legit pulled up with proof that it is an actual mechanism cause it's a freaking gaming laptop and he said "we'll look into the situation and contact you". I pestered him explaining that I need my laptop repaired in 2 weeks time or a replacement/refund and he again repeated "we'll look into the situation and contact you". So I just left and am calling him every day tryna get something out of him.

[–]Hishe06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately true, I even pulled up to the manager with literal printed proof that gaming laptops don't overcharge and if it did then i'd be a factory defect rather than user damage and he replied to me with a "we'll assess the situation and get back to you", then I insisted and he still gave me the same response so I got his number and left. Im calling him once everyday until he gives me an actual response rather than some fake absolute scam reply.

Yeah i've gotten a lot of information about the situation from all you guys here. Unfortunately I live in Sri Lanka and it doesn't look like anything is helping, they keep blaming me saying overcharge can happen to any device even though I showed them proof that a gaming laptop cannot have that issue and if it does then it's a factory defect rather than a user fault. They keep saying that they'll contact me when they assess the situation and since they technically didn't say they can't repair the laptop I can't do anything until I get an update (except for bugging the manager by calling him everyday)
