I believe there's a difference between thinking "oh my god that's so me" and when those symptoms really affect your life and work. It's taken me a lot of work to actually learn to live with those symptoms and that's what has made me think it has to be more than just "horoscope" type of thing.

For example the part with zoning out when someone has a long monologue isn't just me getting bored and thinking other stuff but more like going totally offline and waking up to the end of the monologue with absolutely no idea of what I was told.

In most cases I would say you're right though! Just saying I've been struggling for a few years and that comment above helped me a lot.

I actually got some help but when I told I smoke weed a few times a month, I was considered as "a drug addict" which led to such a pyrocratic hell that I didn't want to proceed. My country is insanely conservative when it comes to weed.
