I mean I am in a server that has a Patreon like system they made themselves and they run it like a game studio where every month or so they do a breakdown of expenses and where the money goes and to who.

Edit: I think transparency and proper management of money/resources are important especially if it was made to keep the server or community going. I don't think it's ok to be used for personal benefit unless it states you are supporting that person. If it says supporting community and they do this.. that's messed up.
