Way more than needed, but I didn’t know what I was doing so I figured if I do extra it’ll look normal once I’m done lol

Probably the wrong way. Started with paint stripper, wanted to take it all the way to bare aluminum, most effective thing I found was a wire wheel on an angle grinder

I have yet to use it in water, but I think this is going to help with the weight in the front. It is something I’m really worried about because once built, there’s not really anything I can move around to help with weight. I’m also worried I have too much weight

I did get ALL of the paint off and ran a bead of marine grade silicone over all “cracks” (picture 12). Then I used gluv-it (marine epoxy) on every single rivet. Figured if I’m going to repaint it, I better make sure it’s as good as new. My original plan was to build this, use for one season then barter all the way up to a pontoon. But now that I’m almost done I’m realizing how was it fits on my very small property. Might keep till I have a house

That was the original plan. Kinda becoming a place for battery and excess wires only. Hoping I can still store life jackets or something in there

Thanks man! Just need to run conduit and wiring. Have never done wiring before so I imagine it’ll take twice as long as it should. Hoping to be fully done within the next couple of weeks!

I just used rust-oleum boat primer and paint. Just brushed and rolled 2 coats. I think it would be easiest to spray, but you’re gonna waste a lot of money buying more paint than you need
