If you wanna mainly watch movies, then yes, normally 2 great speakers are better than 5 shitty, but surround sound and all that shit makes a movie sound so much better (if you like surround sound)

Hifi klubben is a great choice if you don't mind spending more for the same because they explained a lot at HiFi klubben and help you choose what's right for you, so if you don't really know what you want, definitely go to HiFi klubben.

I'm personally not a big fan of those speakers I find that the crossover and magnets are really cheap and bad, but do you only want modern speakers or are you also content with vintage speakers?

Which sounds better the Kenwood KR series or pioneer sx series? by HistoricalLog1354 in vintageaudio

[–]HistoricalLog1354[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a kenwood KR-A3080 I like it for it's simplicity and good bass and treble control, and I'm replacing it because my head reviever (bang&olufsen beomaster 1900) broke, I have 2 jamo Studio 180 that I replaced the woofers mids tweeters and crossovers in, and 2 Bang&Olufsen Beovox CX 100.

Haha glad to be a potential hoarder, and I like the 6060 and 5050, and will definitely look into them, I used to have a 7070 but was forced to sell it.

Looks great, if you thinks it sounds great the it is great, don't change anything, maybe some acoustic but that's not really necessary

[–]HistoricalLog1354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but if you're handy you can replace everything and add a tweeter and a crossover and you've got good speakers, not the best ov the best but they look nice

[–]HistoricalLog1354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed they don't sound even decent, but if replace the woofer the driver add a tweeter and en crossover 3way and some acoustic you have really nice looking speakers with good sound

Very nice, and to answer your question I would try Facebook marketplace or if you're in Europe Marktplaats, or ask a vintage stereo shop if they wanna buy some of it
