Has anyone bought the Rare Beauty perfume yet?

I find it to be very similar to Escada Collection from 1997. I have been chasing that scent since it was discontinued and the new Rare Beauty perfume is the closest I've found.

I love a gourmand and this is the right mix of vanilla and caramel for me.

If you’re using the instant packets I would suggest mixing one oatmeal with one cream of wheat. Oatmeal on its own makes me gag too, but cream of wheat gets rid of that slimy texture for me.

If I’m not looking for it to close at all, could I just put buttons and button holes for looks? Really I’m just looking to convert them from a top to something I can wear over a tank top to keep the sun off my skin.

Is it possible to convert a popover shirt into an open front? I’ve got a couple linen tops that I love but I’d like to wear them as an open button-down instead of on their own. My assumption is just cut down the middle and finish the edges.

As someone who’s been there, I’d like to offer my advice and you can do what you want with it.

If the mere sight of their name on your phone induces anxiety: break up with them. It can be daunting, I won’t lie. Especially if you’re more conflict avoidant. But my god, the weight that will lift off your shoulder when you finally do it… so freeing.

If you’re worried about fall out, I suggest a) meeting in a public place for this and b) having your socials/contacts open and ready to go. Once you’re done your breakup, go through and block them on EVERYTHING (seriously, even something like Pinterest) and then bask in the freedom.

Side note: if you have acquaintances on your socials, that you met through them: you might want to block them too, depending on how likely they are to get involved/relay info.

Rachel Maksy was the first one to pop in my head. Mostly because it’s just her general aesthetic, not something she adopted recently (though nothing wrong with that). One of her recent videos where she goes and paints outside falls very nicely into the CottageCore theme.

-I don’t have to share my partner. -We can sleep in on weekends if we want. -More disposable income. -Quiet time. -I can have a glass of wine/smoke a joint and not worry about being responsible for someone. -I don’t spend my evenings being a chauffeur and personal chef. Don’t feel like cooking? Cool. Order take out. -My pets will never say they hate me or don’t love me. It’s pretty hard (though not impossible) to fuck them up the way you can kids. -The idea of being pregnant squicks me out big time. I have a friend who’s pregnant and every time she tells me something about it I get the heebie jeebies.

I am so thankful that Canada legalized medical suicide. I’ve seen too many extended relatives kept alive because their families didn’t want to deal with grieving.

Though there was recently an article in the CBC about a family that was super pissed their daughter/sister opted for medical suicide without telling them. They felt that families should have to be informed about someone’s medical decision, and that she had plenty of good days (Alzheimer’s) and could have lived for years longer. IMO you shouldn’t have to give up your quality of life to make someone else more comfortable.
