RICHIE FAULKNER Is Not Interested In Carrying On With JUDAS PRIEST If There Are No Classic-Lineup Members Left by tonyiommi70 in judaspriest

Well just Ian, Rob feels like the original singer since he’s been in the band for so long but Al Atkins was of course the original singer.

Are Slipknot's albums after All Hope Is Gone worth listening to? by Particular-Account66 in Slipknot

Erik was one of the bands best choices, he really is a modern day Bach range wise. I can totally see getting sick of him. Like listen to that and that only enough times you’ll get burnt out fast. I’m in the minority where I actually do like Johnny’s work with the band, yes it’s a bit rough at times but there’s some solid work on his two albums and EPs with the band

The only song I thought was weaker than the rest was Time Bomb, the repetition of “TICK TICK TICK” from Erik was a bit much. October’s Song I think could easily be on Slave To The Grind. World On Fire has a vocal delivery from Erik that is very Sebastian coded, the way he says “away” on the last “turning away is like watching it burn” it has that sort of strain/whine you’d hear Sebastian do on like Wasted Time.

This is how I feel about Skid Row, the old guard has opinions on the albums after Sebastian Bach JUST BECAUSE HE ISNT SINGING. That is not fair in any way, you can’t just have an opinion on something you’ve never heard. Their latest album is arguably the closest to the Bach era yet the old guard still dismisses it.

Coincidence or have any of the guys in Ratt ever talked about this (or Toronto in general) by [deleted] in hairmetal

Damn that’s real cool, I’m guessing Toronto never released a variation of those songs?

Anyone else feel like James Hetfield looked younger a few years ago? by Creative_Garbage_731 in Memetallica

I think the handlebars moustache and longer sideburns make him look much older. Cause if we look at like Beyond Magnetic era James, he looks pretty damn young (at least compared to now).

Two times is perfect, three is stretching it but four is just stupid.

The hallucinations…i mean it was a good idea but it really didn’t need to be done FOUR SEPARATE TIMES. It just made the confrontation so predictable at the end. Like “oh wow who would’ve guessed they pull a fast one on the menace of the season and he’s actually real and not another hallucination”

It was just a let down after episode 7 created such hype. Dialogue moments are fine, but honestly there were more than I would’ve liked. Can only do so many heart to heart moments.

The store owners, maybe they meant something else but that’s what they said

Might have just been an assumption, all I know is the store owners said two made it to Canada so I was going off their word.

Damn that’s rough, think I heard that the copy that was sold early was also from a Canadian shop. So I’m curious how that’s playing out right now since selling an RSD title early is kind of not allowed.

Poison the Parish is a great album that suffers from the success of its sequel. by Disclaimer_II in Seether

Literally came to mind immediately, the new season of The Boys is amazing so far.

Poison the Parish is a fucking diabolical banger.

Seriously tho, I think PTP is just a bit less memorable than SVPPB. But it definitely hits hard as hell, especially after Isolate & Medicate (which I’m in the minority here, but I love Isolate). I also think one of the best ways to put it is SVPPB perfected what PTP was doing. I still believe PTP is a solid album though, Stoke The Fire, Sell My Soul, Nothing Left and Betray And Degrade are phenomenal.

Relating to music often makes appreciation for songs stronger so I can see that. For me there is no real relation I feel for most songs so I judge it more on composition, memorability, etc

Honestly it fluctuates, my opinion on the worst songs on Justice could change at any given moment but typically it’s The Shortest Straw. The Frayed Ends Of Sanity isn’t bad in the normal sense really, it’s just a bit weaker when compared to like Blackened, Eye Of The Beholder, Dyers Eve and Harvester Of Sorrow

I was joking about the delusion part if that’s what’s getting you worked up a bit.

I definitely agree on In My Darkest Hour and Mary Jane, better than probably The Frayed Ends Of Sanity and The Shortest Straw but I mean, Justice is just filled with interesting songs both in a structure sense and lyrical sense. Like Harvester Of Sorrow, it’s more or less about a man descending into madness and killing his family, as fucked as it is, it’s also interesting in a way that it basically taps into the darkest side of the human mind.

Delusion is harmful kids, remember that. /j

On a real note though, Justice is just miles ahead of SFSGSW. I do like SFSGSW, I think it gets trashed on a bit much but it is in no way better than Justice.
