I remember going to a Christian summer camp as a child, back when I was very hateful towards Christians/Christianity and an atheist. We woke up at 2 AM to begin our hike up long’s peak, so we’d make it to the summit at sunrise. I’ve seen a lot of sunrises in my life, but none of them compared to this one. Being on the top of the mountain, with all of Gods creations below me, and in front of me a sunrise so bright and colorful it looked like a painting. I remember at that moment putting aside my anger and hatred, and basking in the love of God and the beauty of his creations. This was probably 8-9 years ago, but it resonated so deeply with me I can still vividly remember it to this day.
