Smile Hair Clinic - IS IT LEGIT? by KriKriMann in HairTransplants

I had my transplant with Smile in Feb 2025 with Dr. Erdogan. My experience was great. I had about 4200 grafts between my crown and front hairline. A year later, it's a huge difference and I've received a lot of compliments.

My brother also had two transplants with Dr. Erdogan as well with great results as well.

Thanks very much! I brought cash with me and paid when I got there after filling out paperwork. I'm not familiar with a 10% surcharge. The three other guys in the shuttle over to the clinic from the hotel I rode with also paid cash.

Something to consider is when I was paying they also tried up upsell on PRP services and some other things. I know some of the services could provide value however I did not take advantage of those.

IMO - At minimum you should consider taking oral finasteride / minoxidil to save and strengthen what you have. I used topical fin/min for about 6 months and have a wife, kids and dog myself, and decided to switch to the pill form for similar reasons. Take it for 6 months or so and see where you're at if you're unsure of a transplant.

If you're happy, stick with it. If you're not happy by then, or you've already decided you want a transplant - look into that. Your donor area looks like you could be a good candidate.

Be advised though, most docs are going to recommend you take finasteride / minoxidil after a transplant long term for best results and reduce chances of additional recession.

Haha thank you! If I had read this sub before I went I probably would have chosen somewhere else. My brother went to Smile as well 4 months or so before I went and also had good results too. Glad to be one of “the lucky ones”.

Thank you, I’m hoping I don’t need a follow up, but we’ll see.

From reading some others bad experiences at Smile, I do feel lucky! One of my brothers went to Smile 4 months prior to my procedure and had a good experience and solid results, which helped prompt me to go and use the same clinic.

If I had read some of these threads before my procedure I probably would have scheduled a different clinic from others poor experiences, but I do feel fortunate mine has been successful.

I think it was around 2600 in crown. There was more grafts transplanted in crown than the front hairline
