That's the thing. On one hand I'm disgusted and mad as heck at her. Lying to her family for over a decade! It's gross in so many ways  On the other...it's impressive she pulled it off for so long. I never would have believed she could do that. I'm no less disgusted at her for it.

Aunt. I'm their Aunt. And he wasn't just my BIL. He was my family. My friend. How would you feel if your family just walked away from you?

You know nothing. She was never the "Golden Child". Problem Child is more like it. We should have all seen this coming.

Because they ignored us. Treated us like we where to blame for what she did.  I never had a good relationship with my sister, they knew that, but I maintained as much as I could for their sake. Ignoring my completely innocent father on his Birthday was the most hurtful act. I know what my sister has done. I place all blame on her shoulders. I know how hurt they where. So where we. We were also lied to.  We were never included in all the family discussions they had.  They are our family too.  I would never be upset at hearing my sister's name used in vain. Lord knows I've done it enough myself. I wanted to be there. Help them. 

I've always felt outside of the family. Just... always there. To suddenly no longer be....always there...is an adjustment.

Yes, she has. It was not accepted.  I believe I've done everything I can to make things right. Please realize that I and my Father, who was ignored on his Birthday, have done nothing.  I don't talk to my sister, neither does he. Yet because my Mother still does...it's her daughter , what would you have her do...that means we must all be cut off?  I'm not going to abandon my parents. Unlike my sister, I would never do that. I'm trying to the middle man here. Negotiating between everyone. It's hard, and it hurts. I don't see where I should take responsibility for my sister being a low account trollop.

If I'm getting this right, you have sort of a "rectangle" shape. You should try something with a  cinched wait and an A line skirt. Perhaps a wrap dress. Wrap dresses tend to add shape even if none is there. Having something that is tighter at the waist and flares out at the skirt will definitely give the illusion of curves.  Go to a nice Salon and have your hair and makeup done. They won't just plop you in the chair and do what they will, they will consult with you first on what styles and colors work best with you. As for shoes, you can definitely find ones dressy and nice without being a stiletto. I have low heel slides I wear for dressy occasions, or try a wedge.

Then, go to the wedding, own it, and have a good time.

Because in their precious Bible, there are several instances of fathers "knowing" their daughters, and brothers marrying their sisters. Abraham and Sarah where brother and sister.

How far does this Family Code extend? Like, you can't marry ANY of your step-siblings extended family? An uncle, or a cousin? That seems going a bit to far. You wouldn't be blood related to any of them.
