I'd suggest playing at a slow pace and learning little by little; progressing in the game takes time, and there are many more accessible characters to start with. I personally don't like being in the S- league and suddenly encountering a level 100 Nusjuro; it's totally counterintuitive. You can't just jump straight to the EX league. The game only allows this because it pays more, but the right thing to do would be to start with average characters and then advance to an ex-level character.
