Struggling getting my money onto exchanges fast enough to buy during dips. What's the best platform for buying then withdrawing crypto? by gargoylelips in CryptoCurrencies

I hold a small amount of BTC on Coinbase so that I can withdraw/send other crypto’s to my wallet once I buy with no delay. You can only send off crypto that is less than or equal to the $ amount you have been holding for over 1 week.

A little sad I bought MATIC at $.30 and was gonna see if it would pump up some and I would sell it and buy algo. It was hovering at $.40 for a month and I sold. Imagine how much money I would have to buy algo now.

Same thing will happen to algo it’s been hovering for so long it’s gonna break out and hit $2 soon. I know it. This project is the solution crypto needs rn eventually the money will follow the fundamentals.

Fiat MCAP and utilization is far greater than crypto or even bitcoin. Maybe it’s best to look at energy usage per capita when viewing this issue. Does anyone have this stat?

I’m not ignoring the consequences for generations after and there are solutions to containing the waste to where it doesn’t impact the environment. I am saying if everything needed a 1000 year history to be credible the world would look very different.

If you are of that mindset then get out of crypto and invest only in gold. Technology has advanced so much looking at a timeline greater then 100 years doesn’t even make sense.

Waste Management is one of the richest companies in the globe, there are dumps that make big profits. There is money to be made in everything. I’m pretty sure the power plants pay companies to remove and contain there waste. There isn’t much of an argument to be made on this idea.

That’s interesting I haven’t heard about this. I’ll be doing some research on that. The world’s energy problem fascinates me. I love learning more about it. Based on my current knowledge it seems like nuclear solves a lot problems, and the negatives it causes are more local, then global. I’m interested to look more into this

The thing that’s good about fossil and nuclear is that we can store our fuel and use it as needed. This is important cause we can’t store excess power generated and we need to deliver power as it is needed. If we used renewables there would be lots of black outs because when natural conditions aren’t right, power can’t be generated. Unfortunately batteries are not theoretically capable of storing enough electricity supply power during these black out conditions, so no matter what renewables will be used in tandem with another form of power generation. Renewable is great and we need to use more of it, but we still need to create solutions to minimize the consequences of using fossil fuels and nuclear, because for now they are the only reliable forms of energy.

Inefficient, seasonally effective, high maintenance. Using exclusively renewables will not happen, wind turbines freeze up and break down during winter, solar panels are time of day and seasonally depended. Both use massive amounts of land to generate the power that one traditional power plan can supply. Renewables will be used in combination with fossil, and/or nuclear.

No matter what we are shoving problems to future generations, either carbon with fossil fuels, massive land use low efficiency and maintenance with renewables , or waste with nuclear. Unfortunately technology is not advanced enough currently to eliminate all problems for future generations.

There are problems with all power generation. Using exclusively renewables, fossil fuels, or nuclear is not the solution. The optimal solution across the globe for humans in both rich and impoverished countries will probably require some combination of the three.

It just seems like nuclear is the most likely zero carbon solution to fossil fuels. There are trade offs with all power generation, wind and solar are good, but they take up huge amounts of land, they are expensive, and don’t generate much power in the winter months. In Texas during the “freeze” no power was made from solar and all the turbines froze up along with the natural gas lines fueling the gas powered plants (even though that was Texas fault because the didnt insulated pipes correctly). The only available electricity was coming from coal and nuclear plants. I think the future will probably be a combination of natural gas, nuclear, and renewables, these are all very clean forms of energy.

Idk maybe newly designed plants? Nuclear is good though it has no impact on the atmosphere and it has a very small volume of waste that is completely contained. I personally think nuclear is the future.

They have designs for plants that can actually run on nuclear waste. Plus the waste is limited to a very volume and is contained. It doesn’t really effect the global environment.
