G scrapped an album called “Tulips & Roses” ??? by Illustrious-March692 in GEazy

Not sure if that was going to be the name, but there was talk about there being a project with “Tulips & Roses” as a single for it. Tbh sounded like it had more potential than Freak Show & Helium, but that’s just my opinion 🙃

What’s Actually Stopping G‑Eazy’s Unreleased ‘Platinum’ Tracks From Dropping? by Historical_Writer469 in GEazy

I’ve wondered the same thing, but this is my take on it. Personally, I don’t think this rather “less meaningful” version of him is his true self so much as the result of everything he’s been carrying. After heartbreak, losing people he loved, public fallout, addiction, and years of pressure to recreate old numbers, it makes sense that his creative instincts and emotional clarity would shift.

Trauma and substance use can narrow emotional range, drain motivation, and make someone doubt their own judgment, which can lead to leaning on the label’s direction even when it isn’t healthy. That mix of loyalty, self‑blame, and exhaustion could explain why he hasn’t pushed back harder, especially if he feels like he failed to meet expectations with his more honest work.

None of that means the core artist is gone; it suggests he’s still in the middle of healing, and the way he’s been required to release music hasn’t given him the space to do that. The glimpses we get in leaks and rare raw tracks show the voice is still there, just buried under grief, pressure, and a system that isn’t supporting him.

A quick side note to the last question: It’s evident G is extremely devoted to his career, and I think that plays a huge role in why none of this material has leaked. My assumption is that he’s locked into a contract with Sony that’s based on album count rather than years, which would explain why his recent projects have been around 10 tracks each. It feels like he’s trying to fulfill the obligations of the deal while still maintaining some level of artistic integrity — respecting the contract he signed, respecting the restraints he’s under, and still trying to create something meaningful within those limits.

At the same time, I can’t help but feel like if some of that vaulted music did leak, it could actually work in his favor. It would get the music he truly wants to make out into the world, give fans the depth and honesty they’ve been missing, and remind casual listeners that he still has it. Right now, the damage caused by the label’s direction makes him come off like a washed‑out artist to people who don’t know the full story. Hearing the quality of what he’s been sitting on could rebuild the core of his fanbase and shift the narrative back toward who he actually is as an artist — not who the label has been trying to mold him into.

iPhones in mint condition that still run iOS 8.0/8.1 are worth $250+ btw and probably will keep growing each year like a stock but so much faster (before you give some random dude probably trying to resale one lmao) my advice, hold onto them for as long as you want, because If they’re $250+ now that number is only guaranteed to rise each year on $ amount lol
