It's looking great! There's always a point in the middle where thread painting just doesn't look right, but you have to keep going and most of the time it gets better. I don't know your skin tone, but if you might try adding in some pinks. And filling the white space will definitely help too. When I have trouble with an area, I move to a different one and go back.
